Merciful Father, I humbly beseech you to close the suffering John is now confronting. Embrace him in Your Love my Savior. Bless our brother John with your healing grace. Let his remaining time in this temporal existence be a peaceful and contrite until that time You bring him home. I pray you will give John's family a clear understanding of your loving will, and make this a time of redemptive cleansing for each of them. I have heard of something similar. A niece had the open heart surgery when she was a baby. Periodically, as she grew, they had to go back in and open up the wiring and do it over again--four or five times.
She is now a married young lady with a beautiful baby boy.
I don't think it can be done as easily in an elderly mand. Still, it would be worth a try, because if it works, your Dad could have as many as ten good years ahead of him.
I will pray for him.

I'm praying for you and your father. Praying for his complete healing.
I had the operation. I could feel my rib cages or something moving for a long time. I still have to watch how much I lift. I have no pain from it though. I beleive hope and pray that his will grow back tgether. Mine did. I had mine in 1997.

My heart goes out to your father. I have never heard of this happening. Do they give him any hope of the condition clearing itself up over time? I am surprised they sent him home with all of that extra fluid to begin with. My prayers will be with him that God will intervene in his life and heal this pain.
