The rosary is a powerful prayer,it is the sweet chain that connects us to God, and it was given to us to help us in all our needs. Say it, teach it, spread this around give it to our soldiers , your families, your friends. Honor God and His Mother,Mary, say the rosary and learn the power of the rosary.

Amen! I started praying the Rosay almost four years ago, when I was still Anglican. It became a part of my life then, and continues to this day. I'd feel the day was incomplete if I didn't spend the time to pray the Rosary. It is a wonderful blessing!

Note to Pope Pius lX: Christ did not send us out to conquer the world, but to make disciples (followers) of Him. (and not by force, but by preaching the gospel). (matt28:18-20 the great commission).

The most powerful weapon in the church's arsenal is the Word of God. (eph6:17 sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God).

Jesus connects us to God. (john14:6 "no one comes the the Father but through Me").

The Holy Spirit is our source of power.(acts1:8"you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be My witnesses...")

All honor and glory goes to the Lord God alone! (rev5:13 to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory...)

Looks like the standard "praying the Rosary is 'un-Christian'" posts.

Do you know of any articles on how one makes the Rosary a daily prayer?

?? Not sure I understand what you meant in your comment, pryo7480. I didn't see anything in my comment that was "un-Christian." Puzzled in VA.

Not to worry. Free Republic now allows people to run all over the site spreading anti Christian hate.

Latest post has one poster saying Jesus belongs in an asylum. The "new" FR, where Jesus is insane. Go figure.

I remember when I broke the news to my evangelical bretheren that I was "thinking of becoming a Catholic." They stared at me like I just landed from Mars. "So," one said, "you're going to renounce Jesus!?"
me: What?
she: Catholics worship Mary!
me: No, they don't!

anyway, long story short, I'm Catholic. And I love it. And I don't worship Mary, but meditating on her role, her personality, and her honor has revolutionized the way I see God, Jesus, and my fellow man. Nothing -- NOTHING -- encourages the honor of women quite like the Rosary.

The Rosary: The antiBurkah.

Before moving to the attack of Lepanto the Christian sailors devoutly recited the Rosary while the Papal Legate gave them the Apostolic Benediction. For three hours, the sixty-five thousand men, all of whom had received Holy Communion that morning, continued to recite the Rosary. Then on each ship general absolution was given for the last time by one of the chaplains. The attack began. The wind, which had been against the Christians, suddenly dropped. The battle raged until late in the afternoon, when the Turks gave way. The victory gave the naval power of the enemy a blow from which it never recovered and ended their threat in the Mediterranean Sea.

Thank you for the "how to." I was amazed to find, after being Episcopalian for 10 years, that the Anglicans say the Rosary too.

Only the really "High Church" ones. They should be Catholics anyway. ;-)

The book TRUE DEVOTION TO MARY, by st. Louis DeMonfort(tranlation by Fr. Fredrick Faber) explains perfectly how we are expected to honor Jesus, through His Mother. I hope before one throws off the rosary they will go get this book and learn that Jesus WANTS everyone to know His Mother and to love her....just as all should love and respect their very own mother. He gave her to us at the foot of the cross. So read and pray the rosary.
