Amen! I started praying the Rosay almost four years ago, when I was still Anglican. It became a part of my life then, and continues to this day. I'd feel the day was incomplete if I didn't spend the time to pray the Rosary. It is a wonderful blessing!

"If I had an army to say the Rosary," Pope. Pius IX once said, "I could conquer the world." And he said this because the Rosary, next to. the Mass, is the most powerful weapon in the. Church's arsenal. ."
---
Note to Pope Pius lX: Christ did not send us out to conquer the world, but to make disciples (followers) of Him. (and not by force, but by preaching the gospel). (matt28:18-20 the great commission).
The most powerful weapon in the church's arsenal is the Word of God. (eph6:17 sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God).
Jesus connects us to God. (john14:6 "no one comes the the Father but through Me").
The Holy Spirit is our source of power.(acts1:8"you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be My witnesses...")
All honor and glory goes to the Lord God alone! (rev5:13 to Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory...)

Before moving to the attack of Lepanto the Christian sailors devoutly recited the Rosary while the Papal Legate gave them the Apostolic Benediction. For three hours, the sixty-five thousand men, all of whom had received Holy Communion that morning, continued to recite the Rosary. Then on each ship general absolution was given for the last time by one of the chaplains. The attack began. The wind, which had been against the Christians, suddenly dropped. The battle raged until late in the afternoon, when the Turks gave way. The victory gave the naval power of the enemy a blow from which it never recovered and ended their threat in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Holy Rosary

"Say the Rosary every day... Pray, pray a lot and offer sacrifices for sinners... I'm Our Lady of the Rosary. Only I will be able to help you. ...In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph." Our Lady at Fatima
|
T he word Rosary means "Crown of Roses". Our Lady has revealed to several people that each time they say a Hail Mary they are giving her a beautiful rose and that each complete Rosary makes her a crown of roses. The rose is the queen of flowers, and so the Rosary is the rose of all devotions and it is therefore the most important one. The Holy Rosary is considered a perfect prayer because within it lies the awesome story of our salvation. With the Rosary in fact we meditate the mysteries of joy, of sorrow and the glory of Jesus and Mary. It's a simple prayer, humble so much like Mary. It's a prayer we can all say together with Her, the Mother of God. With the Hail Mary we invite Her to pray for us. Our Lady always grants our request. She joins Her prayer to ours. Therefore it becomes ever more useful, because what Mary asks She always receives, Jesus can never say no to whatever His Mother asks for. In every apparition, the heavenly Mother has invited us to say the Rosary as a powerful weapon against evil, to bring us to true peace. With your prayer made together with Your heavenly Mother, you can obtain the great gift of bringing about a change of hearts and conversion. Each day, through prayer you can drive away from yourselves and from your homeland many dangers and many evils. It can seem a repetitive prayer but instead it is like two sweethearts who many times say one another the words: "I love you"... A devout exercise to perform praying the Rosary to obtain any request is the "54-day Rosary Novena" in honor of Our Lady of Pompeii. You can find the History of the Rosary reading the Secret of the Rosary of Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort. The Holy Father John Paul II with the Apostolic Letter ROSARIUM VIRGINIS MARIAE of 10/16/2002 has added 5 new mysteries of the Rosary: The Mysteries of the Light.
The whole Rosary is composed of twenty decades. Each decade is recited in honor of a mystery in Our Lord's Life and that of his Blessed Mother. |
It is customary to recite five decades at a time while meditating on one set of mysteries. |
The decades may be separated, if the entire chaplet is completed on the same day. |
Each Mystery may be meditate "bead by bead" for every Hail Mary of the decade. |
The Mysteries of the Rosary |

Our Lady of the Rosary. The Holy Rosary is a lovely instrument of prayer. By it we direct our minds and our hearts to God as we move our mouths and our fingers while we pray. The rosary was given personally to Saint Dominic by Our Blessed Lady in the year 1214, in Toulouse, in France. Saint Dominic was the first great apostle of the Holy Rosary. Saint Dominic died in 1221, at the age of fifty-one. The last great apostle of the Holy Rosary was Saint Louis Marie de Montfort, who died in 1716 at the age of forty-three. The great Pope who promoted the cult of the Holy Rosary was Saint Pius V, who died in 1572. In the year 1571 he set up the feast of the Most Holy Rosary on October 7. The Catholics won a great naval victory that day over the Turks at Lepanto, who were trying to crush them and blot out their Faith. Their protection was the Holy Rosary.
Another great victory of the Catholics over the Turks because of the Holy Rosary was in 1716, in Hungary, the year Saint Louis Marie died. Pope Gregory XIII, in 1573, Pope Clement XI, in 1716, and Pope Leo XIII, in 1888, all did much to make the feast of the Most Holy Rosary on October 7 more and more observed reverenced in the liturgy of the Church. The rosary is not only a prayer, it is a weapon. The little beads of love that are strung on the rosary are bullets of destruction against the enemies of the Catholic Faith and the enemies of one's salvation. In a simple chaplet, five decades of the rosary, the Holy Name of Jesus is invoked fifty-four times, and the Holy Name of Mary, one hundred and seven times. No Catholic should ever be without the rosary in his possession, night or day. The devil is afraid of these beads as they lie in our pockets or are held in our hands.

THE ROSARY" As a child in a Roman Catholic Orphanage, the Presentation Sisters taught me how to say the Rosary and I was made to say the Rosary along with the other children every day.... My opinion today is that there is no power in the Rosary for me and other past and present survivors, because of the severe crimes the Presentation Sisters comitted on so many little innocent children at the orphanage...
