No one says you have to "get over it" (at least, not me). There's a huge difference between "get over it" and "don't let your emotions run away with you."

As I have stated numerous times in the past, I hope the fact that I have signed a Health Care Power of Attorney -- giving my wife complete authority to speak on my behalf when I am unable to speak for myself -- means that I don't have to wonder if some busy-body do-gooders (even my parents) will attempt to prolong my life if it's determined I'm in a PVS. The way so many professed Christians seem to go off the deep end in regard to this case, I have to wonder whether they think this is the greatest place we'll ever be and it only gets worse from here.
Back to the thread at hand, it seems more than a little ironic -- even ridiculous -- that someone who (allegedly, if you insist) did not want to live is, in this thread, suggested as one whose case should "light the way for people to not lose faith in their continuing effort to battle the spirits of darkness that prevails in the culture of death."
Yes, there is a culture of death. I just don't see it in this case. It boiled down to "he said, she said" and, when all is said and done, the court decided the spouse (scoundrel that he is) speaks when one cannot speak for herself. That is as it should be. Assuming Terri's enjoying the beginning of eternity in heaven, I don't have to wonder if she'd rather still be in hospice care.
You don't get off the wheel of life that easy. She's back and she's pi$$ed.

LOL. So, are you implying I'm pro abortion? Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm about as far from the middle of the road as you're likely to find. I am vehemently pro-life. But, unlike some, that does not mean I have allowed my emotions run amok at the expense of reason.
There is no debate on the debacle that was the Florida court system.
I have yet to have anyone make a reasonable or convincing case -- legal or moral -- for how the court could have justifiably severed the sacred marriage contract willingly entered into by Terri and her husband (scoundrel that he is).
If you're going to try to say he breached it through adultery, I'll mention that adulterous husbands are quite often forgiven by their wives and, even if they aren't, in neither case is a marriage contract declared null and void without due process of law. Forgiving wives and their adulterous husbands are not required to replace their "broken" marriage contracts. How can you be so sure Terri would not be a loving, forgiving wife?
No use stating that, "Yes, there is a culture of death. I just don't see it in this case." That statement and your characterization of your parents and Christians leaves much to be desired in trying offer defense to an abomination.
You're certainly free to express your scathing opinion. Feel free to back it up with something more than pure emotion.
I have absolutely no idea what you're typing about. Where did you toss in a "slightly different view of the life cycle"? Perhaps if you'd quoted the pertinent parts of what you replied to, this would make more sense. As it stands, your reply #26 to my post #25 makes no sense at all, and this last one did nothing to help.
