Sorry, I’m not venerating Mary. She is honored as the mother of Christ but the way many RC’s worship her is heresy. Too many lift her above her Son and that’s just plain wrong, wagglebee. JESUS is the only one who is to be worshiped and adored.
Worship, venerate and adore all mean VERY DIFFERENT things, you should find out what they mean before you dismiss them out of hand. I notice that you did not answer any of my other questions and still remain resolute in your refusal to obey Luke 1:48.
Look, I know how precious Mary is to the catholics. I value her as the mother of my Saviour, Jesus, period. I don’t feel I need to belabor all of this. Mary herself knew she needed a saviour. She was not sinless, she was not perfect. She was a precious young woman who obeyed God. Jesus is the only one I worship, adore and venerate, regardless of what all that means to you. HE is the only one worthy of adoration and worship. ONLY JESUS.
Mary, Elizabeth and Gabriel ALL declared how special Mary was, Luke 1:48 is explicit. Catholics, Orthodox and Lutherans all understand this. ALL of the great Protestant Reformers understood this. We ONLY worship God, the words venerate and adore have totall different meanings.
We have NEVER said that the Blessed Virgin Mary did not need a Savior, she declared that she ALREADY had a Savior. This was PRIOR to the Lord's Birth, Crucifixion and Resurrection -- this means that her Salvation was BEFORE mankind's. So, you tell me, when was it?
I’m not going to get into a scripture war with you or anyone else. If you don’t like the way I feel about Mary, that’s YOUR problem, not mine.
