Tom Peterson, President of
Catholics Come Home will be a guest on Fox and Friends Monday morning. Tom is the talent and the vision behind the wonderful television advertisements which have been helping to being so many Catholics back to the Church. These ads have been featured at the Nationals' Stadium Papal mass, and received a standing ovation at the Catholic Prayer Breakfast, which was attended by President Bush.

Benedict seems fine. He’s in a no win notoriety situation following JP2.

My thoughts on Pope Benedict is that I cried at Every Mass he celebrated, and I am a 42 year old American of Sicilian ancestry who lives in the good ole Southern U.S., and don’t do that much. I have been inspired and awed by everything he has stated in his homilies and speeches and have gone to websites (e.g., Whispers in the Loggia) and have printed every homily to reada again later.
God Bless Pope Benedict.

That was beautiful. God bless Papa. He should come back again and visit the west coast.

Your thoughts. I love BXIV. And it is plain that he loves us. It was an incredible day.
Viva Papa!

Not ridiculous at all. Benedict even said that himself after his appointment. And he said he knew that his stay would be short term due to his age. Nothing against the guy, he knew that he would never match the popularity of JP2.

I have been inspired and awed by everything he has stated in his homilies and speeches I live in the South, too. His visit has been wonderful. I'm also going to print out everything and read it and study it. I felt he was addressing not only Catholics but all of our non-Catholic brethren, who are in the majority here in the South.

Well after the meeting of the youth last night, he gaved what I thought was his best message and the youth greeted him with great joy. Got to remember that JPII was and is a saint. He was going to be a tough act to follow, BXVI did very well these last 6 days.

BXVI gets twice the attendance of JPII at his weekly audiences. Pope Benedict says profound things, and people come there not for his personality, but to hear what he is going to reveal to them. That’s why I think he is like Augustine or one of the other great teachers of the past. He’s not just a “personality.”

Yes, I am in Louisiana, which does have larger Catholic presence than most Southern states, but I have lived in Arkansas and Mississippi for graduate school and work, and know those states, like others, have small Catholic populations.
God Bless

Thanks for posting this. I’m not catholic but I watched this on Fox News Channel today. I was quite a scene. Especially when you consider this was a Yankee Stadium. The roar was loud. Really neat. The closest I came to something like this was seeing Billy Graham in 1994 in Atlanta (Johnny & June Cash were there too).
