The Coming “Alien” Deception
This Dream woke me at 04:30 today, 13 August 2007.
I sat in a small wooden church - like a country church - with a group of pastors in several rows facing the pastor chairing the meeting. Pastors in the first row were generally taller and stronger men, both physically and spiritually, than those in the second row where I sat.
The pastor to my right turned and spoke, “I have a strong feeling something is about to happen. Do you?”
Somewhat uncertain, I answered, “Yes I think so.”
Then the pastor to my left exclaimed, “Yes, I feel it too!”
Some pastors in the first row turned around to look at us as if to express their dismay at our lack of discernment.
The scene then changed to my home, at night, where Holly and I stood. Two ‘beings’ who seemed to be angels from God walked up to us. They were female with short glowing wings like angels might be expected to possess; however, their bodies did not glow - just their wings.
They said they had come to take us to a secret meeting in the Arizona desert. One was blonde with short hair; the other had dark brunette-to-black short hair. Both were small in stature… possibly 5.5 feet or so. They seemed to be unnaturally playful - joking between themselves and smiling at us from time to time.
We got into our car; they slouched in the back saying they were exhausted from telling so many folks to go to the meeting place.
We drove through the night until we needed gas. We stopped at a filling station where a couple of men and a woman were on duty. After I filled the car, I stood before one of the men to pay the bill. He said it would be $40, so I searched my wallet for the money and found only $15. Flustered I reached for a credit card. What I had taken from my wallet appeared to be theatre tickets - not a credit card. I apologized for the delay and reached again for a credit card. Again I found a piece of paper in my hand, not a credit card. Finally after three tries to pay the bill, I found a credit card and we were ready to continue the journey.
Suddenly I found myself inside the mind of the blonde-haired ‘being’ as she lay against the right rear passenger door - somewhat sleepily. Although she could not see through the door with normal vision, she was able to ‘see’ the woman who worked at the filling station sneaking up to the car to see who was in the back seat. The blonde-haired being wasn’t threatened and simply went back to sleep. (I felt the woman who sneaked up to the car was like a motorcycle moll with evil intent. It made me wonder why the blonde-haired ‘being’ was not threatened… was it because she could not be hurt or was it because she was evil herself and meaner than the motorcycle moll?)
We left the filling station and continued into the night getting closer and closer to the Arizona meeting place but becoming more remote with each mile. We noticed more cars heading the same direction ahead of us and behind as well.
After a time, we stopped at a small convenience store run by a local guy. The store had two rooms: an anteroom (like a mud room for dirty shoes one would find in a typical farm or ranch house) and the main store viewed through a normal doorway. It was still pitch black outside.
We walked inside the store and asked the clerk for a map to the meeting place. He gave us an unusual one which allowed us to mentally ‘see’ this area like a 3D version of Google Earth. We observed as the map ‘flew’ us into a deep canyon filled with huge pointed rock formations. The map took us over the top of the meeting place where a rectangular, barn-like structure sat below us, surrounded by natural rock barriers. It was not easily accessible nor inviting.
Once the map had shown us where to go, we were suddenly back at the anteroom facing into the main store. A farming couple entered the anteroom who looked somewhat like members of a Mennonite or Quaker church. They were aloof.
As I looked at the man standing between me and the door to the main store, he glanced down at his feet in a manner as to direct my gaze to that area. At our feet was a scale model of the barn-like structure we had seen in the map. It was about 1.0 x 2.5 feet by .75 feet high. It had been cut neatly into two halves of about 1.25 feet each.
The man scooted the back half toward a rectangular hole just a bit smaller than the barn footprint in the floor between us. I looked down through the hole and saw another room with a couple of things in it like boxes sitting on a wooden floor. His half of the ‘mini-barn’ moved neatly over the back half of the hole. He motioned for me to place the other half of the barn over the hole to conceal it. As I did so slowly, I sensed something wrong with the whole dream.
I looked out the anteroom window to where huge numbers of cars streamed toward the ‘secret’ meeting place. Somehow I knew there were about 2 million people headed for this place. I saw the faces of many of them as their cars passed by. They looked like simple farm folk (which somehow conveyed to me they were not well-educated in the written Word or the Bible).
Suddenly, I realized what I was seeing. Humble, uneducated Believers thought they were going to gathered up to meet their ‘messiah’ in something like a ‘rapture’. They were falling into a trap because of their lack of knowledge about this clever deception. I recalled from the Bible:
Matt. 24:24-27 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before.
Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
I knew I had to wake up and tell Believers to beware of a very clever deception coming soon. As I awoke, I remembered what I had written in 1978 in “The Cosmic Conspiracy”. I had warned that superbeings posing as angels from God would arrive on Earth at a time of great global threat from various factors like world and local wars, famine, disease, climate change, financial chaos and possible asteroid impacts to offer ‘peace and safety’ to the nations under their leadership… Their arrival and their UFOs would be a great cosmic deception….
Next, I remembered a dream from 1996 which showed me and a number of fellow watchpersons in a desert setting where we witnessed a rain of burning embers falling to Earth over the northern, pre-dawn skies of California in increasing numbers. I wondered if the falling, flaming embers represented fallen angels cast down to Earth in the last days who they would follow Satan in a great global deception (with the exception of the Elect Believers). With the current increase in UFO sightings across the planet, I wondered if the time of their arrival was near.
In an effort to deceive as many Believers as possible before the Day of Judgment, Satan has and does provide fake versions of the good things God plans to release on Earth. Before the real Messiah came to Israel, several men falsely claimed to be the Deliverer of Israel. Now, before the return of the Ruling Messiah Y’shua (Jesus), Satan will again produce a false messiah along with a false prophet and himself as rulers of Earth.
Furthermore, I believe this dream related to you today tells of a fake ‘rapture’ of Believers who are ignorant of the knowledge of the deception and that fake from Satan precedes a true ‘rapture’ of Believers by God to follow soon after.
So, I share this dream with all Followers of the Way of Y’shua Ben Elohim in a last ditch effort to educate them and their fellow Believers regarding the great deception which is almost certainly upon us in the immediate future.
One slight correction. The veil in the temple being rent in two shows that God provides for our relationship with Him and those things which are good for nothingness are removed from righteousness. The veil was part of the temple, or the place where God resided. He was known to be present in the Shekinah glory in the temple.
Today, He still has a temple. That temple today is in each and every believer, forming the body of Christ, the Church.
We are able to have fellowship with Him through Christ who is God and our intercessor to the Father (Heb 7:24-25). The significance is that when we pray, we pray to the Father, but it is communicated through the High Priest, our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus and is communicated by God the Holy Spirit in inexpressible groanings (Rom 8:26-27).
1stJohn provides a tremendous study in discerning the differences between propitiation and forgiveness. The legal penalty for sin has been paid. Forgiveness is a relational term, not a legal perspective. We all have had our sins paid for by Christ on the Cross, but we are only forgiven when we return to Him through faith in Him. This happens for all presalvation sin when we first become believers and it occurs for postsalvation sin upon our turning back to Him and confessing all known and unknown sins to Him through faith in Christ in prayer (our thinking towards Him).

It was in the 1980’s when I discovered the New Age movement and “A Course in Miracles” and was able to show a couple of friends of mine that it was garbage, and a part of the moment that was going to infiltrate our churches, and deceive even the believers with a false gospel.
At that time there was full page ads in our small local newspaper declaring the mysterious Christ figure named Maitreya was about to make his appearance
I’m sorry to say since then I never gave much thought about it again, until Oprah started in with her New Age garbage & when I saw all the women flocking to take the course, and how her audience seem to be hypnotized by all the junk they were being fed. Looks like it has grown by leaps and bounds since then.
As I was searching for more info to share with fanfan I came across a book written by Warren Smith July 2006. As I said earlier he was deceived by the New Age Movement. I would encourage all Christians to read it! He names a lot of leaders that are putting out this garbage.

Maitreya’s teachings are totally consistent with the New Age/New Gospel/New Spirituality teachings espoused by the “Christ” of Williamson’s A Course in Miracles, Hubbard’s The Revelation, and Walsch’s Conversations with God, and others.
Corinne Mclaughlin and Gordon Donaldson’s New Age book Spiritual Politics is unabashedly pro-Alice Bailey and thus pro-Maitreya.
Both Williamson and Walsch have endorsed Spiritual Politics and their Global Renaissance Alliance/Peace Alliance is founded on these same pro-New Age, pro-Maitreya teachings.
The Global Renaissance Alliance/Peace Alliance is now involved in American politics and is positioning itself to be on the cutting edge of a new revolutionary peace movement.
Oprah Winfrey is very dedicated to a world peace based on New Age spiritual teachings. She has endorsed Williamson’s book about A Course in Miracles and according to Walsch she once declared Conversations with God to be her favorite book.
She describes Williamson as one of her favorite people and Neale Donald Walsch as one of the most “memorable thinkers” she has ever met. Oprah Winfrey is now featuring Williamson on her XM satellite radio program and, according to Walsch, is waiting for the right time to bring him more fully on board.
The Bible warns that in the last days a false christ figure will destroy the world with a “wonderfully” conceived peace plan (Daniel 8:23-25). The New Age Global Renaissance Alliance/Peace Alliance is not something to be taken lightly—neither is Maitreya.
The Apostle Paul warned: “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1). An evil, deceptive spirit world working through often well-intentioned, but undiscerning, people has literally turned the Bible upside down.
These angels of darkness, masquerading as angels of light, have delivered their upside-down teachings to an undiscerning world and church. The false God and Christ of this world is now working furiously through his spokespeople to bring peace to the world—but peace on his terms.
Through his designated spiritual leaders he is encouraging the world and the church to consciously create a peaceful “alternative” to Armageddon. Making God’s prophesies about the last days suddenly appear to be conditional, he is tempting the world with a seemingly viable option—if the world changes its mind about what it believes then the future can be changed.
But God’s prophesies concerning the last days are not optional. Prophesies are prophesies because they are true statement about the future. They cannot and will not be altered by anyone—including God. It wouldn’t be called prophecy if it was going to be changed by God at some later time. Therefore, there is no validity to Barbara Marx Hubbard’s, or anyone else’s, contention that there is an “alternative” to Armageddon.
Yet the big question still remains. Why does the God of the Bible go to such great lengths to describe a last days Armageddon scenario that is so obviously awful? Why are there so many “negative” warnings about a future filled with false teachers and false teachings? Why all the prophecies about Antichrist and persecution? It all seems so terrible and depressing.
God’s answer is very straightforward. The reason that it all seems so terrible and depressing is because it is. The people in New Orleans didn’t think the weatherman was being “negative” because he warned in advance that a Category 5 hurricane named Katrina was on the way.
Similarly, God is warning in advance about a last days ultimate Armageddon storm that is on the way. Only in this case God is not describing what could maybe happen but what will happen. God has already seen the future. He is simply telling us what He has seen.
Devastating natural disasters don’t happen because “negative” or “pessimistic” meteorologists make them happen by believing that they will happen.
And Armageddon won’t happen because “negative” and “pessimistic” “fundamentalist Christians” make it happen by believing it will happen.
Armageddon happens because a spiritually deluded world makes it happen. Armageddon is not the awful creation of those who believe what God says in the Bible. Armageddon is the awful creation of people not believing what God says in the Bible. In their disbelief and faithlessness to God’s Holy Word, the world is trying to consciously create an “alternative” to the Bible.
The Book of Revelation is not a book of possibilities. It is a book of prophecy. Biblical prophecy is not conditional. It will happen. God sees what the world is about to do. He warns everyone to beware of those in the world and in the church that will try to change His Holy Word. He warns everyone at their peril not to add or subtract one word from his prophetic warnings:
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

The Ways of Deceivers
I warn you to search the Scriptures diligently concerning these
last days. For the things that are written shall indeed be made
manifest. There shall come deceivers among My people in
increasing numbers, who shall speak forth the truth and shall gain
the favour of the people. For the people shall examine the
Scriptures and say, ‘What these men say is true’. Then when they
have gained the hearts of the people, then and then only shall they
bring out their wrong doctrines. Therefore I say that you should
not give your hearts to men, nor hold people’s persons in
admiration or adulation. For by these very persons Satan shall
gain entry into My people. Watch for seducers! Do you think a
seducer will brandish a heresy and flaunt it before the people? He
will speak words of righteousness and truth and will appear as a
minister of light, declaring the Word. The people’s hearts shall be
won. Then when the hearts are won, they will bring out their
doctrines and the people shall be deceived. The people shall say
‘Did he not speak thus and thus’? ‘And did we not examine it from
the Word’? ‘Therefore he is a minister of righteousness. This that
he has now spoken we do not see in the Word but it must be right,
for the other things he spoke were true’.
Be not deceived. For the deceiver will first work to gain the hearts
of many, and then shall bring forth his insidious doctrines. You can
not discern those who are of Me and those who are not of Me
when they start to preach. But seek Me constantly, and when
these doctrines are brought out you shall have a witness in your
heart that these are not of Me. Fear not, for I have warned you. It
is possible that the very elect may be deceived. But it is not
possible if you walk in holiness and uprightness before the Lord,
for then your eyes shall be open and the Lord will protect you. If
you will constantly look unto the Lord you will know when the
doctrine changes, and will not be brought into it. If your heart is
right I will keep you, if you will look constantly to Me, I will
uphold you.
The minister of righteousness shall be on this wise -— his life shall
agree with the word, and his lips shall give forth that which is
wholly true, there will be no mixture. When the mixture appears
then you will know he is not a minister of righteousness. The
deceivers speak first the truth and then error, to cover their own
sins which they love. Therefore I exhort and command you to
study the Scriptures relative to seducing spirits, for this is one of
the great dangers of these last days.
I desire you to be firmly established in My word and not in the
personalities of men, that you will not be moved as so many shall
be moved. I would keep you in the paths of righteousness. Take
heed to yourselves and follow not the seducing spirits that are
already manifesting themselves. Diligently inquire of Me when you
hear something that you have not seen in the word, and do not
hold people’s persons in admiration, for it is by this very method
that Satan will hold many of My people.
I really enjoyed the Jesse Duplantis DVD. Personally attending a service where he preached must have been very nice.
The Way of Triumph
I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly,
that you may triumph where I triumphed. On the cross I triumphed
over all the powers of Satan and I have called you to walk in the
same path. It is when your life is on the cross that you shall know
the victory that I have experienced. As you are on the cross,
seated in Me, then you shall know the power of the resurrection.
When I come in My Glory the principalities and powers in the
heavenly places shall be utterly broken. Fear not, for I have given
you the power whereby you may tread down the powers of
darkness, and come forth victorious through every trial. As you are
on the cross then you are victorious. It was on the cross that I
triumphed over all the powers of the enemy. My life shall flow
through as you enter into these precious truths. Look unto Me
and appropriate My life. As your eyes and desires are toward Me
and you know what it is to be crucified with Me, then you shall
live and your anointing shall increase. It was not in My life as I
walked upon the earth but rather it was in My life as I hung upon
the cross that I openly spoiled principalities and powers.
I am showing you truth that shall cause you to overcome, to have
power over the wicked one, this is the truth that will liberate you
and those around you. You shall know also the fellowship of My
sufferings. There is no other way whereby you may partake of this
heavenly glory and to reign with Me. My word says that If we
suffer with Him we shall reign with Him. I desire to make these
truths real within you. As you keep them before you, you will in
turn liberate many who are in bondage. You will have revelation of
those who are in darkness and will have the keys to liberate the
captives. Many seek to liberate but do not have the keys. Upon
the cross continually you will know the power of My resurrection.
If you will indeed judge yourself you shall not be judged. As you
seek My face and desire to be cleansed by Me in all truth and
sincerity of heart, I will judge you in the secret place, and the
things that are in the secret place of your heart shall not be made
manifest to others. I will do it in the secret place and no man will
know it. The shame that will be seen on many faces shal l not be
seen on your face. Therefore in mercy and love I am instructing
you in order that you may partake of My Glory. As you are willing
to walk with Me and rejoice in your sufferings, you shall in turn
partake of My Glory. Look unto Me for you have need of power to
overcome the wicked one and the bondages in other’s lives.
I said that if a man will judge himself he shall not be judged. It is
not My good pleasure that the shame of My people be seen by all.
How can I judge the world if I judge not first My own house?
Hearken unto these things that I am telling you, for if you will not
hearken unto Me thy shame shall be evident to all.

In the last few days, Holly and I have received some intriguing email from New Zealand. We asked the sender, Karen Lyster, for her permission to share them with you as they transpire because of the potentially “explosive” nature of their warnings.... Karen Lyster is a friend of ours living in New Zealand. We met her when Stan was lecturing in Auckland last year. She is a very level-headed, insightful woman, not one guided by sensationalism. She sent the following messages which are certainly eye-opening. Before you read them, let us share a little information about the Maori.
Every country has its “original people”. For America it is the Native Americans, for Australia it is the Aboriginals, for New Zealand it is the Maori. What do these people all have in common? They are spiritually gifted, closely knit people who generally keep to themselves, share their tribal prophesies with very few outsiders and generally lead simpler lives closely tied to the Earth.
Due to the times in which we live, that being very close to major Earth changes, some have been willing to share their information. Regardless that these three groups of people are thousands of miles distant from each other, their prophesies are remarkably similar.

Subject: MAORI ELDER TELLS ME OF EARTH CHANGES TO NZ
Hi Stan,
Yesterday, I was visited by a lady who is an Elder of one of the Maori Tribes. Even though she’s probably only about 45, she’s a decendent from the Royal Bloodline of the Maori Queen. She has what is called, great “Mana”, and although there isn’t an english translation for the word, it really means that the person has to have great wisdom, earned INCREDIBLE respect, and has abilities like inner visions and intuition. So if you equate her to one the Hopi Elders, you can see what I mean about her presence.
Now, she told me that a few weeks ago she was “called” to go and visit Cape Riangi - which is the furthest most point of the North Island here in New Zealand. She tried getting there three times; but had car trouble and other obstacles “put” in her way; so she returned home back. But again, she was told to go there; and, this time, the “fire in her belly” (as she put it) was far too strong to ignore. She thought it best if she go by bus tour to make sure she got there!
Now, when the bus arrived, there was a lighthouse which most of the other tourists went to look at; but, she was drawn to go out to the farthest most point of the Cape... literally the “tip top” of the North Island. She said she stood on the cliff face and closed her eyes,... letting the cool breezes brush her face. Then, when she opened her eyes, she was looking at a totally different landscape. The sea was completely gone; and there was land as far as her eyes could see. She said it seemed to go on forever. She also felt as it the land itself had “lifted” much higher than it had been previously. After taking it all in, she once again closed her eyes; then opened them once again; and the scene was back to normal.
(Of course this fits in well with Scallion’s map of the world as he says New Zealand will gain heaps of land and will be joined to Australia (after a good dunking of course..... :( guess the fish will be ok!!)
I asked her if the whole of New Zealand would go under the sea before coming back up again; and she held out her hand and made a rolling and twisting motion, saying that, unfortunately, most of the country would go under; but some areas would stay above water.
Now, before she left, she gave me a big hug and told me that tomorrow morning I would wake up to the news that a dike in China had collapsed killing 100’s of people. I woke up this morning at 8am; turned on the radio; and that’s exactly what was being said. But, I’ve tried to find it on the news wires here on the net, and can’t find it anywhere!! Very preplexing to me, as I KNOW I heard it.
She was one very unique lady to say the least. And I knew you’d be interested in what she had to say.

Well, first of all, I was just visited again by that Maori Indian Elder Woman who wanted all the data printed out from both your website and Jim Berkland’s,... including maps etc.....- so, she left here loaded up to the eyeballs with printed matter to take back to the other Elders for them to study.
I was amazed that she even knew of both of you; because the Maori keep VERY much to themselves; and where they live, they have no phone, no TV, no radio, no video etc etc etc... To be quite frank with you, Stan, I got the disinct impression that it was YOU that I was supposed to pass the information onto about what she’d seen and what would happen to New Zealand. It was quite a shock having someone of her stature turning up at my doorstep! That’s why she gave me the prediction before she left about the dikes busting in China and killing 100’s of people..... and of course it happened exactly as she had said,... - even her saying I’d be waking up and hearing it on the news at precisely 8am (I’m certain this was to prove what she’d told me on other things were true).
She said that she’s been told that Lake Taupo would “blow” (her words); and, she added, she could take me to nearby places where there were valleys that would be filled with 100’s and 100’s of bodies just floating there after Taupo blows. Then, she went on with her other explanations of how the whole of New Zealand would be effected with all the twisting and turning it would have to endure (not a pretty thought!). Of course, I asked her when all this would happen and - just like the Hopis - she said “soon, very soon”... but she did go a little further than that. However, I was taking so much in from her, I only hope I can tell you correctly what was explained to me.
She said that there would be an event that was unrelated; but when this event happened, it would be a trigger for many major earth changes.... Again, this was to be in China; and it’s a subject I know nothing about; so, please bear with me on this one. She said there was this “channel” there in China that they’d been working on for many years; and it was not yet complete. She said work had stopped on it for various reasons; then she told me that up above this “channel”, there were 1000’s of logs or timber that were perched at the top of this “channel”... Furthermore, over time, some had been stolen; but most were still there (she didn’t say what they were to be used for, so it’s a bit confusing for me). She said that soon these logs would come crashing down killing 1000’s; and, when this happened, it would be a sign for her people that these Earth changes were about to happen with great intensity.
Does any of this make sense to you? Do you know of any such “channel” being built by the chinese? She said it had been started many years ago but never completed.
Anyway, I’m really glad you replied, Stan; because, as I said, I got the distinct impression that it was you that they really wanted this information to be passed onto.

It is the Three Gorges Dam Project in China which is to dam the Yangtze River. It will consume over 130,000 acres and stretch some 400 miles along the Yangtze. The trees are being cut and have been stockpiled for later uses including dikes.... The Green group, the US Gov’t ... the World Bank - ALL have tried to stop this project as an environmental nightmare.... It has displaced 2 million Chinese from their homes...
In my dreamvision, I was shown the only thing I would need to have when the Taupo event was to happen was a small red alarm/calculator I had purchased from an Indian exporter named Dadlani in Hong Kong quite a few years ago. I imported several hundred of them for Myers Dept stores and other customers a few years ago. I remember the calculator well as it was with me daily and because it was flaming red in colour... but, I did not make the Chinese connection until just this second... Hong Kong is China now... Hmmm.....m..m.m.m.m
The alarm clock was a simple thing and yet what I saw in the dream had depth in my sub-conscious that I could not remember until now... good grief!.... good grief!... ‘Cracks’ in China’s Three Gorges Dam

A senior Chinese official says cracks have appeared in the controversial Three Gorges hydroelectric dam being built on the Yangtze river.
Qian Zhengying, the former minister of water resources who heads an expert group on the dam, returned from a week-long inspection of the project demanding that the cracks be “repaired fastidiously”, according to the state-controlled China Daily.
There have been consistent rumours that the 185-metre high dam, which entails the removal of entire villages to higher ground, is being shoddily constructed, amid reports of endemic corruption in the project.
But the China Daily report represents an unusually frank admission that the dam has serious shortcomings and some leaders are now critical of the project.
“During the past three years, concrete placement in the project has not been first class, causing a variety of related accidents and drawbacks, though the concrete process has improved compared with previous years,” Ms Qian was quoted as saying.
The cracks measure a maximum 1.25 millimetres across and 2.5 metres deep, according to China Daily.
The paper said cracks had also been found in the project’s permanent ship-locks and ship-lifts.
Costly Project
The Chinese Government’s prestige project is hugely costly - officially it is expected to cost at least US$24bn but unofficial estimates say it could cost at least three times that amount.
It has been bedeviled by corruption. In 2000, 97 officials were convicted of embezzlement from the dam fund.
Activists have criticised the enforced resettlement of those whose homes lay in the 600km-long (300 mile) area which will form the Three Gorges reservoir and the loss of many historic buildings and artefacts that will be drowned.
The dam is intended to control China’s notorious flooding problem. But engineers have questioned whether the dam will be effective, citing problems with sedimentation and the construction itself.

The September War
According to a number of sources, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is planning to bring his first reactor on line sometime in September 2008, which is just about in line with what the Israeli Mossad had estimated back in 2003 when the full extent of Iran’s secret nuclear program became known.
The Iranian announcement came on the heels of a surprise announcement by the government of Israel confirming it had entered into third-party peace talks with Syria’s Bashar Assad. The surprising confirmation on Wednesday was the first acknowledged contact between the two parties in eight years, which will be mediated by Turkey. Equally surprising was a statement from the United States saying it had no objection to the talks. Previously, the U.S. had rejected any peace overtures toward Syria as long as it was sponsoring Hezbollah and Hamas. In fact, President Bush seemed to have been blindsided by the news. According to transcripts of an interview he granted to the Jerusalem Post, Bush responded to the news by stammering; “I expect an explanation, but I’m – he made a decision that he made – or no decisions have been made, except the idea of trying to get some dialogue moving, which is – and I know him well, and know that he is as concerned about Israeli security as any other person that’s ever been the prime minister of Israel. And so I presume the decision is made.”
Despite the White House’s official welcome of the news, privately, officials were furious. The New York Times quoted an “anonymous” (of course) “administration official” who called Israel’s unilateral move “a slap in the face.”
While Damascus and Jerusalem talk peace, Iranian-backed Hezbollah consolidated the gains it made in fighting against government forces in the streets of Beirut and elsewhere.
After six days of mediation between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government, Hezbollah emerged a clear winner in a settlement agreement in which Hezbollah was granted veto rights over the government, affirming its stature as “the preponderant military actor and the super political power in Lebanon,” according to political scientist Hilal Khashan of the American University of Beirut. Khashan told the AFP that “it was an excellent deal for the Hezbollah-led opposition and a major defeat for the U.S.-backed government.”
The deal was brokered by the Qatari government. The Arab League played a major part in securing the deal, with both Syria and Iran declaring their support for Hezbollah’s victory. Under the arrangement, Parliament will elect as president the current head of the Lebanese Army, Gen. Michel Suleiman. Gen. Suleiman will then appoint a new government – one in which Hezbollah holds enough seats to veto any decisions it doesn’t like – such as disarming Hezbollah.
Meanwhile, Israeli military sources say that Iran is continuing to ship weapons and ammunition, via Hezbollah, to the Hamas-occupied Gaza Strip, including rockets, missiles and rocket launchers. According to the Mossad, these shipments have been stepped up in recent months, reaching a peak in March-April. Using fishing boats, Iran has successfully smuggled Iranian-made 120 mm mortars with a range of up to six miles. The Mossad says that the smuggling operation is overseen by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard using Syrian ports and Hezbollah operatives.
Meanwhile, back in Israel, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is fighting desperately to keep his job while he is under investigation by police on charges of obtaining money by fraud, breach of trust, money laundering and tax offenses, according to Haartez. And fears are rampant within Israeli circles that Olmert may be considering trading the Golan Heights in exchange for a peace deal he can trumpet to deflect attention away from his legal problems.
If one sits down and connects the dots, one ends up with a very different picture than the one being presented by the mainstream media suggesting the Syrian-Israeli talks are representative of a major breakthrough.
It is worth remembering that it was the Persians who invented chess, and Ahmadinejad seems to be controlling all the pieces. In the first place, Ahmadinejad knows that Israel will attack its reactor the moment that they take it on line. He’s been arming and training Hamas to serve as its proxy in the event of war, to harass the IDF on its flanks. To the north in Lebanon, Ahmadinejad has succeeded in rearming and re-equipping Hezbollah since the Lebanon War in 2006. The Mossad estimates Hezbollah is stronger now than it was before Israel invaded. Hezbollah has succeeded, for all intents and purposes, in taking over the Lebanese government.
Hamas controls all of the Gaza Strip. Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority barely has a handle on the West Bank – and in any event, would turn on Israel the second the opportunity presented itself.
Syria’s insistence on the return of the Golan Heights as a precondition for peace is a Trojan Horse – particularly considering the timing. It was only last September that Israel destroyed a Syrian nuclear reactor that was only weeks from being operational. Syria has built one of the most formidable arsenals of missiles and rockets in the region, all of them aimed at Israel. From the Golan Heights, Syria would control much of northern Israel, as it did prior to losing the Golan to Israel in the Six Days War.
Israel is therefore surrounded with Hezbollah and Syria to the north, Hamas on both flanks, with al-Qaida sympathizers flooding in through Egypt and Jordan. Everything is in place for war except the pretext to start things off.
Starting up a nuclear reactor will do nicely.
I hesitate to post the link. I’ve read enough of such to believe there’s more than smoke . . . .

June 14, 2008. On the same night in both Austin and Fort Worth, TX this week, an angel was spotted. First, was by my pastor friend Charles Robinson during his church’s revival services. In that same service a lady quickly and independently painted an angel she saw in that service. It was exactly the same angel the pastor has seen with his spiritual eyes only a few minutes earlier. Concurrently, an eight year old child in our church revival services in Fort Worth drew a picture of an angel she saw. The pictures matched in detail.
