Where do you stand on this pre trib, mid trib or post trib and why.
None of the above.
Well stated brother.
Good post. I’ve found the word studies on the explicit nouns and verbs in Prophecy place me in a position while in faith though Christ to better glean the faith God the Holy Spirit provides to glorify God the Son.
Pan Trib.
As in "It will all pan out the way God intends it to. So, I will just trust in Him however it turns out."
Somewhat concur. although all of human history is His Story.
"but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way."
Who is taken out the lawless one?
Amillenial, Orthodox Preterist.
Soooo i suppose you could put me in the “post” category.
“...only 3.5 years long which is the last half week of Daniels 70 week prophecy.”
There is no break between Daniel’s 69th week and the 70th week. The 70th week begins with the baptism of Jesus by John and marks the 3 1/2 years of His earthly ministry, cut short by His crusifixion.
It is our theologians who have misguided us on this one, just as so many have on their takes regarding the Book of Revelation.
What ever happened to the other half a week or 3.5 years?
I had a repeat dream last night.
Was ill with bad sinus pain and following a rare horrific Thunder and Lightning storm.
In this dream the sky literally opens up and all different men from all times come out and they including Jesus who is on his knees looing up to the heavens are huge like a big as the sky huge.
All are warriors from all biblical times and a few creepy faces to.
It is like a battle and earth is just a pewey seating/viewing point
I remember yelling at others Look Its Jesus! But what is most overwhelming is all the men in this last and in my heart I know it is a great last battle and like this is It the End of Earth.
All the warriors coming out of the sky are bigger that the earth so everyone in the world can veiw this coming.
Wild, suppose the sinus/migraine and thunder gave me this dream again.
A big part of interpreting Revelation is noting the contrast of the two parts of Jesus’ ministry.
In Matthew, we have the Kingdom being offered to the Jews. Had they accepted Him, the Millennial Kingdom could have started right there. But they didn’t. They rejected their Messiah, their spiritual salvation, because their hearts were turned towards themselves and their circumstances and they were looking for a “political messiah” much like the Liberals (and some Conservatives) of today.
But in Mt 16 we have a shift in Jesus’ ministry. The Kingdom is no longer offered to the Jews. Instead, we have the introduction of the “Church” which is said by Jesus in response to Peter’s confession. From that point on, Christ ministry becomes becomes one of saving and sanctifying His Church. We Dispensationalists note this as the starting of the “Church Age” (with some Jews coming on board) which will have it’s culmination in the Rapture, followed by Christ returning His ministry back to the nation of Israel, which will be prepared for salvation by God allowing them to be sifted by the Anti-Christ (with some Gentiles/Tribulation Saints coming on board), with the final culmination of 3.5 years of the wrath of God against all those not sealed, and the coming of the Kingdom for a 1000 years!
What a book! What a plot! Can’t find any Hollywood writer that can write like that!
And it has multiple endings. Just when you think it is over, the 1000 years has passed and the biggest battle of all time takes place. The final battle between Good and evil.
The tribulation already occurred with the sacking of Jerusalem around 70 AD.
Agreed.
To state the obvious, I’ve found eschatology to so much easier to grasp once one has gone through many of the basic and intermediate doctrines of the Bible. Faith upon faith. It’s amazing how the entire thing comes together re-empahsizing almost every doctrine He has provided from eternity past.
One of many, but not the Great Tribulation.
When was the day of the Lord?
A careful examination of the prophesy of weeks in Daniel shows a split in the weeks. There are 49 weeks of weeks from the time Jerusalem falls back to the Jews from the gentiles. That would be 17640 days from June 7, 1967. On a Jewish Biblical calendar that means Jesus returns for Judgment Day on Yom Kippur 2015. Subtracting 7 years Tribulation x 360 days in a Jewish calendar year gets us to Feasts of Trumpets 2008, or Sept 29-30, 2008, this year for Rapture.
The question is, as always, are you ready to go? I can't tell you how many people I have asked in the last few months, and they answer, well, I have a cruise planned, or my daughter is expecting a grandchild, or yada yada yada. If you were inviting people to your wedding, would you take those that really didn't want to come? There are numerous parables Jesus taught on the subject, most importantly the wise and foolish virgins. The foolish virgins were even TOLD to go where they BUY AND SELL to get more oil, and were left behind. IMHO, these are church members that aren't ready to go. There portion will be with the unbelievers. Many seem to think because they have made a profession of faith, or they belong to a denomination, it's automatic. It's about where your heart is, not that you go to church. The parables speak of SERVANTS that are unfaithful and beat the others, and Talents that were not invested. All these things are about His church, not lost people. Lost people are lost, there aren't going anyway. He is warning His church to look for His coming and long for it. Is there anything in your life you wouldn't give up for his presence?
You are not the children of darkness, but children of light. You CAN know the day no one knows. Get off the milk and on the meat.
