Let us Celebrate Barrack Obama, Let us Celebrate Life

I didn’t vote for Barack Obama. My issue wasn’t color, economy, dubious alliances, experience, foreign policy, taxes, coveting thy neighbor’s property (wealth distribution), or an affinity for McCain. Maybe some of those things concerned me a little.

My real concern was something that millions of us prayed and fasted over, yet I never heard the media mention it once – ABORTION.  There are many of us who vote on values, still we are ignored and ostracized by the media and our church is under constant attack. I could never judge the women who choose abortion. I have a problem with a society that has made the vacuuming of a live fetus, limb by limb, a right of passage. Abortion is an option presented to every American mother who considers her pregnancy a burden, or who’s test results indicate possible “imperfections”.

05mos2125.jpg (4161 bytes) Millions of us truly believe what Mother Theresa explained, “Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.” It is a violent act that takes place in what should be the safest place for innocent babies, the mother’s womb. Thomas Jefferson, once stated: "The care of human life and happiness and not their destruction is the just and only legitimate object of good government" (March 31, 1809).

In addition to the right to life issue, we know that this is a battle that has resulted from racist plans, by groups who prefer certain people not procreate. Consider what Margaret Sanger, Founder of Planned Parenthood, said in the 1920's, "Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.". Now here we are, almost 100 years later, an average of 1,876 black babies are aborted every day in the United States. Since Roe vs. Wade decision became law, we have slaughtered over 48,000,000 babies in this country. As abortions have escalated over the years, so have the chilling statistics that show our children are more threatened than ever by society's moral decay.

On November 5th, 2008, Wednesday morning, like many other Americans, I felt abandoned, sad, and alone. Why God?

How did God allow one of the most liberal politcal supporters of abortion to rule this nation and continue the genocide? Why didn’t He listen to our cries? Why did God forsake us?

Dwelling on these thoughts, I realized that Barack Obama is most likely a shining example of these aborted fetus' we pray for. Since Obama has not presented his original birth certificate, only a computer generated Certification of Birth (computer's weren't available in 1961),  and many of the dates Obama has presented regarding his family are inconsistent with public records, much has been speculated about Stanley Anne Dunham, Obama’s mother, and the circumstances of her pregnancy with him. The most likely scenario is simply that she was an unwed minor at the time of her pregnancy.

What irony that the man who once said, “Women shouldn't be punished with a baby”, had a mother with enough love and courage not to kill her child. The circumstances that produced an intelligent, eloquent man, would today label him “an unwanted burden”. To put it bluntly, Barack Obama could have easily been one of those aborted souls he considers a punishment. I realize there is a lot of speculation here, but I think the refusal to release his Hawaiian Birth Certificate allows for that.

I know God is in charge. We will continue to pay the consequences of going against God. Perhaps only through suffering will we learn to obey what He has commanded. God must come first in our lives. We can not play God and pretend to know who should live or die. We must truly love each other, even if it is a burden or difficult. Love means we shouldn’t envy or take things that belong to others. Love means showing compassion instead of being judgemental. Even though we make mistakes, and we all make them, God still loves us. If we repent, he forgives. We have to forgive each other. Catholics make up 25% of the electorate and estimated 52% voted for Obama. We are likely looking at 52% of Catholics that don't attend church regularly. We have a lot of work and praying to do.

I guess for a moment I forgot, "God does not call us to be successful. He calls us to be faithful." -- Blessed Mother Teresa.

Another positive note is the fact that Barack Obama can serve as a role model for all those who were born under difficult circumstances to understand their potential. There are many beautiful children successfully raised by their grandparents or other loving families. I am also proud that the United States has done what no other developed nation has done - elect a Black President. That is something that has NEVER happened in Europe, including “progressive France”, Asia, Russia, or even developing nations in Latin America such as Brazil or Cuba, which have majority black or mullatto populations, only in America. Anyone who has lived and traveled abroad knows that the notion that racism is somehow an American problem, is a myth. It is actually quite the contrary. This election proved to the world that the American dream is available for all.

Voters also gave overwhelming support of amendments which defend the traditional definition of marriage (between a man and a woman).  In addition, a record 31 Democratic Party pro-life candidates were elected or re-elected to Congress. So with all that, and realizing that we are being shown the potential of any one of those millions of thrown away souls. We can see in Obama, someone who society would have considered "a burden", but grew up to be the leader of the most powerful nation on earth. That is reason to celebrate. Let's celebrate life.

The problem is, of course, that Hussein isn’t a man of integrity, honor, and decency...so I can’t see a reason to celebrate a puppet (and a vulgarian, to boot), whose strings are pulled by America’s enemies. I also fear he’ll bring in Islamofascists by the boatload. Mosques on every corner, Sharia law, honor killings with no one daring to utter a word of reproach. Free speech a thing of the past. Multiculturalism and moral relativism will rule the day. (Ooops, that’s already the case.) Well, forget that part, it’ll get worse. More babies will die and now abortions will completely covered by the American taxpayer, which means you and I will be paying to kill babies. How’s that for moral culpability? The Virgin Mary must be weeping.

I feel the same way. But in a country that has killed 48,000,000 babies, can you really say we deserved better. We are NOT taking care of our spiritually impoverished brethren - Obama is the result. Somehow, Someway, somthing good will come out of this.

How wonderful it would be if BOTH our major parties supported the dignity of human life?

Then, all we'd have to do would be vote on the political issues of the day.

“The problem is, of course, that Hussein isn’t a man of integrity, honor, and decency...”

Obama must be the vilest of the vile and the filthiest among the filthy if he and the machine that backed him could out Clinton the Clintons.

**”God does not call us to be successful. He calls us to be faithful.” — Blessed Mother Teresa.**

And killing babies through abortion is not being faithful to God and His laws.
