Prayers requested-- 17 yr old planning abortion

Posted on 11/11/2008 7:08:24 PM PST by Litany

My sister just called from Cabot PA. Her coworker's 17 yr old daughter has an abortion scheduled for this Saturday 11/15/08. Please pray that this young mother will change her mind and heart and not murder her child.

A prayer for the girl and the parent who could do such a thing...I had a good friend in college who was pretty much damaged goods after her mother took her for an abortion at 17.

Prayer sent.

A youthful unplanned pregnancy is a life changing event, and abortion is a tragedy that can be avoided.

Prayers up. Also, have your friend point out to the girl that if she goes with private adoption, most adoptive couples will pony up some college tuition. At 17, that might sway her.

Lord, I lift up this dear young woman. Show her Lord, that it is a life inside of her and this is not a solution. Protect that unborn infant, and her mother, from the horror of an abortionist’s trade.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayers sent!

My wife's parents were 17 when they became pregnant with her. Thankfully they gave her up for adoption. A few years later her biological parents decided to get married and start a family.

Fast forward a couple of decades ... My wife decided to seek out her parents, we are now all very close and my son has 3 wonderful sets of Grandparents and 2 more Uncles to love and spoil him and his future siblings!

Its a wonderful story and I hope that it can replay itself in this situation.

I have a most wonderful and precious 11 year old grandson given birth by a 17 year old mother. With the support of a strong and loving family we have been blessed with another strong and loving young man in this world that we would not have had by taking the "easy" way. This young man will go far in life.

His mother, BTW, is the far better, strong, successful and independent person today for accepting the responsibility those 11 years ago. Yes, she needed help at first, but her family was there for her. And somehow I know in my heart that when the inevitable day comes when I need help, she, and her son, will be the first there for me.

You get what you give.

There are many childless couples in the U.S. begging for the chance to adopt. In most cases, they end up going to Russia or other foreign countries.

My youngest brother has a “fetus” that was scheduled to be aborted. She is in second grade now. His wife adopted this baby (from a friend of a co-worker, when she heard this child would be aborted) after she had raised her biological children.

This little girl is a miracle. I am convinced she will save lives someday. She is such a special child. Very intelligent, and special (don’t know how else to explain it).

My brother, after losing his wife tragically, met his current wife, who also lost her husband in an industrial accident. They have been married almost five years, and his wife had adopted this little girl before she met my brother. My brother struggled to raise two young children after his first wife’s death.

The adopted child loves her “Daddy,” my brother, dearly, and he loves her equally.

God, please speak to this young woman. Show her, somehow, that life is a gift from HIM, and a miracle not to be sacrificed for convenience.
