Happy Thanksgiving
That was very kind and gracious of the Bishops. Thanks for posting.
We need to hang together or we will hang separately.
Thank God! I am so happy that the Bishops have done this. God help us all if the homosexuals are allowed to bully everyone and continue to push their irreligious agenda. Jesus save us all.
The San Francisco Gate has a database of the contributors to Prop 8; the small liberal papers, namely Random Lengths in San Pedro California, is publicizing the names of the contributors and their employers.
Talk about intolerant! And Hateful! And Low-down!
“We need to hang together or we will hang separately.”
That’s IT!! I was trying to remember that one! LOL!
Im very proud of the Catholics and Mormons who stood tall supporting prop 8. Kinda wonder why the evangelical movement was *relatively* silent on the issue? Blessings to all churches that were shining their light in the darkness!

On this issue
“WE ARE ALL MORMON”
“Jesus save us all.”
Jesus expects us to save ourselves with His help—not just to hang on to His coattails and expect Him to do all the work.
Happy Thanksgiving All
We must all unite .....
As an evangelical I have theological differences with the Mormans. That said, this is a major culture war for this nation. Theological differences aside, all those on the right side of this culture war must stand together, whether Catholic, Evangelical, Mormon, or tradition minded Jew (includes Orthodox and even some Conservative. Rabbi Daniel Lapin’s books are essential reading on the nature of the culture war and the principles that this nation was founded on).
If Sames Sex Marriage becomes the law of the Land, in my opinion, the next step would be to require all churches to perform same sex marriages!
If the churches fail to perform same sex marriage, their tax exempt status would be revoked!
Will wonders never cease.
That is so true yet some things are not of this world such as the evil that the homosexuals want to usher in. They do not love Jesus at all. I hope He stops them from taking over our beautiful country.
There is no telling what in the world is going to happen with this new administration!?!? -We have our work cut out, that's for sure.
Catholic ping!
Hey, if we do our part the best we can, then we can “Lean on the Lord”.
***I never thought I’d live long enough to see the Catholic bishops even recognize the Mormons. Now they’re showing solidarity with them. ***
If somebody does good, they need to be recognized for it. On the things that they are wrong, sometimes debate is good, other times, silence is best. But never think that silence is acquiesence, though. We must keep doing the work that we were commissioned to do.
They will have their reward.
26 And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; 29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. --Luke 17:26-29
California has won a temporary reprieve, but if gay "marriage" passes in the future, watch for the wrath of God, because it will surely come--plagues, pestilence, and a great heat.
“If the churches fail to perform same sex marriage, their tax exempt status would be revoked!”
Were I a betting person, which I’m not, I would bet the gay agenda people will first try to challenge the authority to marry before they go after tax exempt status. The tax issue is mostly a federal matter whereas it is the states which grant the right to legally marry people. This means the churches couldn’t marry anyone and have it count as a state legal act and it would be like many foreign countries where couples must marry before civil authorities before their religious ceremony.
