PRAY for our Nation & President Obama

16The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

17The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

Where is the outcry, Lord? Where is the feeling, the care? Our nation is withering away and there are few who dare to even raise their voices in concern concerning what is happening? Lord, we have sinned greatly in Your sight. Are we to be destroyed? We deserve it. We have elected a pro-abortion anti-biblicist as our leader and are putting up with leaders in the so-called conservative party that are little different. What has happened to our nation Lord? How did this happen? How have we fallen so far?

Our fathers, the generation of WW2 and the generation that followed, have failed to teach us truth. Oh, some of them did. But as a nation something went horribly wrong to where that coddled generation of the 60s and 70s is now spreading poison into the American system with little hope of an antidote. Even in the homes of Christian families sin abounds. Even in my own life, Lord, there is far more sin than my spirit would want and I hate it. Lord, I know within my heart that judgment is coming to our nation. We can not kill the number of children we have murdered and not have it come back on us. The FDA can not approve the destruction of human embryos without their blood being upon the hands of this nation. We can not call that which is immoral acceptable and expect to escape Your wrath. How long Lord until You return and take us away from this dark and sinful land? I hope it is tonight.

Concerning President Obama, he is the instigator of much, though by far, not all, of the evil we see transpiring in present day. Contrary to the emotions which abound within me when I think of all that he is doing, I pray for him. I pray for him in accordance with Your word and I pray the only blessing on him that I possibly can - that he will be converted by Your Spirit. If this happens, his heart will change and we will be the better for it. I can pray nothing else. I do not pray for his success, for success to him means death to millions of children, loss of freedom for Americans, and general chaos in our land. I do not want him harmed in any way, and would pray for safety for him. But that is as far as it goes. It is within Your hands whether or not You have mercy on this nation by converting Obama. Short of that, we justly deserve Your wrath and I just pray that we who are called by Your name are able to stand during the hour of temptation.

Help us Lord. Help us, by letting us feel Your Presence with us. Help us not to sin. Help us to be victorious over that evil scum Satan. And Lord, may we be pleasing to You. May we hear from You 'well done, thou good and faithful servant' on that day.

Lord, if there are any reading this thread that do not know You as their personal Savior and Lord, I pray that You would move in their hearts that they may know the truth. The time is short. Judgment is at hand. Help us to make a difference while we are here.

For it is in Jesus' blessed name that I pray all of these things, Amen.

We don't want to waver through unbelief regarding Your promises, but we desire to be strengthened in our faith and give glory to You, being fully persuaded that You have the power to do what You promise. You credit this kind of faith to Your children as righteousness! As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will You rejoice over us. Even to our old age and gray hair, You are the One who will sustain us. You made us and You will carry us; You will sustain and You will rescue us. We will remember the former things, those of long ago. You are God, and there is no other! You are God, and there is none like You! In Jesus name, Amen

II Thess 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, 2 and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

Lord God, deliver us from the evil that is being forced upon us by these unreasonable leaders in Washington. I am convinced that even they do not understand the consequences of the evils they are perpetuating. Their only concern seems to be power, greed, and selfishness of all sorts. Penetrate the blindfolds that Satan has wrapped tightly around their eyes. But if these evils must be unleashed, use them to bring many people to faith and salvation. In Jesus Name, AMEN
