In the 6000+ years of man’s history, the “pinnacle moment” is the Abomination of Desolation, the key event that will occur in the midst of the Tribulation (a terrible seven-year period that will mark the end of this age). It will be the time when the Man of Lawlessness (i.e., The Anti-Christ) will break his covenant with Israel (Daniel 9:27) and establish himself as Almighty God (Daniel 11:36-37, 2 Thess. 2:2-4, Rev. 13:14-15). He will demand total, absolute allegiance and worship (Rev. 13:16-18).

not Abomination
It was Daniel who originally wrote “The Abomination of Desolation” prophecy. Obama is a Marxist and advocate for the murder of the unborn but he has a long way to go to fill the shoes of the one spoken of by Daniel, and John, on Patmos.
As an aside, I am lovin’ it that Obama is still an error on my spellcheck. :)

I don’t know, he has the markings in several different ways of being the Abomination, even his name lends itself to that distinction, Obamanation. Regardless, he is going to seriously screw this country, and us in the process at the very least.

Good day, after reading your post I must say your handle “the ignorant fisherman” says it all. Sir, please read your Bible! Nowhere does the Bible teach that the world is only 6000 + years old. It also does not teach “ a seven-year period that will mark the end of this age”, you are holding a private interpretation.
The fact is that we can know the exact year of creation, and seeing we know that the Flood occurred in 4990 B.C. exactly 6023 years after creation, we know that the Great Tribulation is in fact not a seven-year period as you claim, but a 23 year period. An added point is that before the destruction of Judah in 587 B.C. (a parallel picture of the great tribulation) coincides with the death of the last good king of Judah- Josiah, 23 years later, Judah was destroyed by the Babylonians with Nebuchadnezzar being a picture of Satan.
You will never come to truth if you keep looking for some restoration of the ancient Temple and “a future covenant” with Israel. God’s elect people have become “the true Israel” of God, there is no special manifestation of end time events given to the Jewish nation as a whole.

I don’t know what 0 is in terms of prophecy, if he is anything, but he will betray Israel, and his megalomaniac personality makes him susceptible to demigod delusions. We’ll just have to wait and see if 0’s antichrist oligarchy achieves Antichrist status. He is certainly a Nimrod.
Saw an ironic set of bumper stickers on my way in to work today. On the left side of the bumper, “The price of apathy is to be ruled by evil men - Plato”, and on the right side... yep, an “Obama08” sticker.

It was a covenantally significant event since it marked the final end of the old covenant which gave way to the new. The old temple was destroyed and never to be rebuilt. Jesus Christ is the true temple along with His bride, the Church. Those who envision another temple made by human hands are still living in the types and shadows of the old covenant, and are like the children of Hagar.
“but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.” (Gal. 4:26)
You are aware that this an allegory.
