LDS Beliefs in Focus
The Mormon Times ^ | March 18, 2009 | Joel Campbell

It's been an unusual few weeks where LDS beliefs on a variety of topics have emerged in the news. These include the value of missionary work on young men's maturity, service, fasting, happiness and stem cell research. Perhaps this is good news...

There have been a number of recent stories about where different religions stand on stem cell research. Mormons, particularly, Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, have been the focus of news stories about how religious beliefs define the issue. This comes as members of the Georgia legislature are considering a measure that would define "a living in vitro human embryo is a biological human being." Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist Jay Bookman wrote:

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints likewise takes no definitive view of when the embryo or fetus acquires a soul, although some Mormons set it at the moment the embryo attaches itself to the womb. That explains why U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, ordinarily a strong social conservative, can also be a strong advocate of embryonic stem-cell research. "

What then is it when the same falsehood that has been debunked factually many times is constantly repeated by the same individual?

...than it reflects on that person as a habitual liar all by themselves!:)

...their reputation and credibility on the forum will be known as an anti LDS provocateur!

This you should know by the freepmail you receive from those who read those who regularly distort.

What one poster considers to be true can be the polar opposite of what another poster considers to be true.

And I am not the arbiter of truth, fact, logic, etc.

For example, no matter how often the Catholic posters protest that Catholics do not worship Mary, there will always be a bunch of non-Catholics who are absolutely certain that Catholics do.

So take a lesson from the Catholics and always be ready to debunk the claim that to you is utterly false. And always do it without attacking the other Freeper personally.
