What? Muslim leader wants Temple rebuilt (WOW!)
WND ^ | August 05, 2009

With the Middle East still in chaos and rumors of war in the air, the idea of rebuilding the Jerusalem Temple on a foundation occupied and administered by Islamic militants might seem fanciful – even preposterous.

But the author of a new book, "The Islamic Antichrist: The Shocking Truth About the Real Nature of the Beast," returned from Turkey recently with news that a prominent Islamic teacher and best-selling author and Jewish Sanhedrin rabbis are conspiring to do just that.

{Cut}

Adnan Oktar, who uses the pen name of Harun Yahya, is a controversial but highly influential Muslim intellectual and author with more than 65 million of his books in circulation worldwide. Oktar recently met with three representatives from the re-established Jewish Sanhedrin, a group of 71 Orthodox rabbis and scholars from Israel, to discuss how religious Muslims, Jews and Christians can work together on the project.

"The objectives of the alliance include waging a joint intellectual and spiritual battle against the worldwide growing tide of irreligiousness, unbelief and immorality," explains Richardson, who met in Turkey with Oktar. "But even more unusual is their agreement with regard to the need to rebuild the Jewish Temple, a structure that Mr. Oktar refers to as the 'Masjid (Mosque)' or the 'Palace of Solomon.'"

Some back ground on the Sanhedrin:

The Sanhedrin is the name given in the mishna to the council of seventy-one Jewish sages who constituted the supreme court and legislative body in Judea during the Roman period. It continued to function for more than four hundred years after the destruction of the Temple and there have been several orthodox attempts to re-establish it since that time. The current attempt to re-establish the Sanhedrin is generally referred to as the "nascent Sanhedrin", or the "developing Sanhedrin".

From TheSanhedrin.org website:

Sanhedrin Rabbis meet with Adnan Oktar

...We understand that Harun Yahya, as we also, looks forward to the time when the Children of Israel become more devout, worshiping as G-d commanded, in the land G-d commanded. ”Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto G-d, as in the days of old, and as in ancient years."

...Out of a sense of collective responsibility for world peace and for all humanity we have found it timely to call to the World and exclaim that there is a way out for all peoples. It is etched in a call to all humanity: We are all the sons of one father, the descendants of Adam, and all humanity is but a single family. Peace among Nations will be achieved through building the House of G-d, where all peoples will serve as foreseen by King Solomon in his prayers at the dedication of the First Holy Temple. Come let us love and respect one another, and love and honor and hold our heavenly Father in awe. Let us establish a house of prayer in His name in order to worship and serve Him together, for the sake of His great compassion. He surely does not want the blood of His creations spilled, but prefers love and peace among all mankind. We pray to the Almighty Creator, that you harken to our Call. Together - each according to his or her ability - we shall work towards the building of the House of Prayer for All Nations on the Temple Mount in peace and mutual understanding.

“Richardson’s book focuses on the striking parallels between the Bible’s prophecies about the coming messiah and Islam’s traditions regarding the one called “the Mahdi” – Islam’s primary messiah figure, who will one day invade the land of Israel and establish his seat of authority on the Temple Mount.

“The suggestion of rebuilding the Jewish Temple is deeply significant to Christians, particularly those who are students of Bible prophecy,” explains Richardson. “According to the Bible, an impostor messiah known as the Antichrist will someday invade the land of Israel and ‘set himself up’ in the ‘God’s Temple.’”

Wait a second. Islam says that THIER Messiah will come and seat himself on the Temple Mount, and Christianity says that THEIR “Anti-Christ” will be FALSELY considered a Messiah and set himself up on the “God’s Temple”.

Is this biblical evidence that the Anti-Christ will be muslim?

Yes. Any spirit that denies that the Son of God came in the flesh is anti-christ. That would include muslims.

I'll go out on a limb here with a few personal thoughts on the islam as the global false religion in the last days scenario. I present it so that you, or someone else may have some insight on my thoughts.

I think that for the Muslim world to gain such a powerful foothold in global religion, politics, economic power and such, one of two things would have to happen. Either many more decades, or even centuries must pass by for the muslim faith to grow to be that strong, or a devastating global crisis must happen to propel the muslims to such power.

In the first instance, there is indeed a growth trend in islam, but I just don't see that as a realistic scenario to explain global control. Generally, Islam has seen it's largest growth in forced conquest of regions, not long term regional evangelism (I hate to use that term as applied to islam though). The latter, global crisis scenario seems more logical (to me anyway).

The words in Revelation 6:6 have been explained to be many things by Bible scholars, but, after reading through JR’s Islamic global end times scenario, as opposed to the traditional “revived Roman empire” theory that has been and is currently taught, I have come away with a different view of this verse. The verse reads as follows...

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!

This appears to indicate a horrible financial and poverty scenario, that could be described as similar to the hyperinflation as in the days of the Wiemar Republic. That part seems clear. But the last part about the oil and the wine seems to be an odd addition. Often, scholars explain that latter part as the contrast between the great poverty and famine in light of the great wealth as depicted by the oil and wine, because the olive oil and wine were commodities of the wealthy parts of society. I have never been comfortable with this interpretation, because, it is the only place in revelation where there is any hint whatsoever of any "wealthy people", and furthermore is the use fo the term "hurt". Why would anyone want to "hurt", or harm oil or wine? It just never mande sense. p>

But what if that is not what “the voice” was teaching at all? Is it possible that the oil, is not necessarily olive oil at all, but rather, ANY oil? And is it possible that the “wine” is not wine as we understand it, rather distilled spirits? As to wine in the first century, it is my understanding the the fermentation process resulted in a quite potent alcohol content and that after fermenting it was then diluted to a lesser potency prior to being served. The Gk word "harm" translated in the NIV is "adikeō" (strong's G91), which means; "to hurt, damage, or harm". Unless the better translation is "don't damage the oil or wine". Or, maybe more losely, in the woolyone translation; "there is going to be terrible poverty and hunger, but whatever you do, be careful to not damage the fuel". Interestingly, Strong's concordance in the definition of the word "oil", lists "fuel for lamps" as one possible translation/application.

So what's my point?
Well, if there was global economic meltdown, Gasoline, diesel (of which oil can burn in most diesel engines!) and fermented grains (ethanol) would be QUITE the commodity. It would be the prime commodity to help the global economy recover. All industry depends upon it, as does the infrastructure that delivers goods and services. Without it, a nation is frozen.

And what is the primary religion of the OPEC nations?

In the event of a global economic meltdown, it is possible that the muslim world could quickly be propelled into a strong position because of it's oil. From this, an islamic antichrist, and global domination by islam is a scary possibility. And it isn't until 3 1/2 years into his reign that the ac really turns up the heat. By then, he will have positioned himself to control many resources.

Disclaimer, it is NOT my intention to pervert or distort God's Word here. Rather, it is my desire to understand the times in light of what He has foretold and promised.

Like this economic ‘crisis’ when the Islamic Sharia banks are going strong?

Like even though they are ‘stuck in the medieval times’ they have control of billions upon billions between them?

Like a plague or bioterror that they have the capability and means to distribute right along with a large group of mentally ill willing to die to spread it?

...and there have been several orthodox attempts to re-establish it since that time.

The priests and their aides in The Temple were Sadducees. Orthodoxy evolved from the Pharisaic movement. It would be a neat trick to see how this fits modern from ancient times.

This is precisely what is wrong with this so-called "Sanhedrion" and the groups and individuals affiliated with it--ecumenicism. Any group or individual who advocates a "temple" that is at peace with various religions is heretical. G-d has spoken. For Jews, only Torah is permitted. For non-Jews, the Seven Noachide Laws. All other religions are forbidden. When the real Third Temple is rebuilt there will be no islamic, chr*stian, or any other false religions.

This fanatical syncretistic ecumenicism is the curse of our age.

“Is this biblical evidence that the Anti-Christ will be muslim?”

The anti-christ will be accepted and hailed as the messiah by the Jewish people. I cannot imagine they would accept a muslim as their messiah.
Some suggest, for that reason, the anti-christ will be Jewish and declare a secret agreement with the muslims to destroy Israel.

So “Chr*stianity is a “false religion”. Thanks for your honesty, Heretic.
