To some, this vine is divine [Jesus appears as a Kudzu vine in Raleigh NC]

In the last few months, the ghostly image of Jesus has appeared on a half-eaten Kit Kat bar, a slice of cheese toast and the seat of a Las Vegas toilet.

But those miraculous manifestations were all about the size of a driver’s license photo, and even when the evening newscast zoomed in tight, you had to squint to see the savior’s beard.

In his latest showing, just off the Boylan Avenue Bridge in Raleigh, N.C., the Prince of Peace shows up 30 feet tall and green.

The Kudzu Jesus, Raleigh’s vegetative relic.

He snakes up a utility pole, forming a majestic trunk and a head seemingly bowed in prayer or agony. A pair of arms appears to spread along the wires in each direction, inviting the world into a leafy embrace.

From the rear, he looks like Christ the Redeemer, the 100-foot statue overlooking Rio de Janeiro from a pointed mountaintop.

Trains pass just below Raleigh’s Jesus vine, and homeless men pay silent tribute on their way to mattresses laid out beneath the bridge.

John Morris was standing on the bridge a few weeks ago, taking pictures of passing trains, when a few patrons of Boylan Bridge Brewpub wandered over and asked if he was snapping shots of the vine Christ. Before long, he posted an image on his Web site, www.goodnightraleigh.com, showing Jesus bathed in a golden light, lit by the Raleigh skyline.

“I was immediately interested, as the topic of pareidolia was the subject of a research paper and presentation I made for a

John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Doesn’t say anything about Kudzu....

John 15:5 – “I am the vine; you are the branches."

It only took four minutes for someone to say it!

It's not a Bush, It's Saint "Fat Teddy" looking over the health care of all in Raleigh.

Flanders: Hey neighbor, I couldn’t help but notice that you took all the flowers out of my garden.

Homer: Can’t make a float without flowers.

Flanders: Fair enough; but did you have to salt the earth so nothing would ever grow again?

Homer: Hehehehe..... Yeaaaaahhhhhh....

According to Gainesville Times, As kudzu grows, it takes on new forms — like the Virgin Mary...

A kudzu Jesus recently spotted in downtown Raleigh, N.C., inspired one Hall County resident to share about a kudzu Virgin Mary she saw off the side of Interstate 985....The kudzu Virgin Mary is located off the shoulder of I-985 south between exits 20 and 17.

Yes. They have definitely lost something over the last few years. There is a really good episode once or twice a season, but the consistent, week-after-week, super-high quality has been absent for some time now.
