Deny the corollary to this, namely, that in the minds of such people, Israel "must be supported by American foreign policy" precisely because current events in the Middle East are believed by them to be direct fulfillment of prophecy, and, by God, we don't want to stand in the way of that, do we? Even if this were so, it is not our job to foment fulfillment of prophecy by default; it is our job to further spread God's kingdom here on earth. God can - and will - bring this earth to an end in His own good time. It is not our job to force His hand (as if we really could anyway).
Deny that there are millions of believing Christians in "fly-over country" who do not bother to vote or do other civic duties because they don't see the point in it, insofar as they're convinced that they'll be raptured any day now.
Indeed it is! Indeed it is!
An inkblot in poetry. What do you call it? No,no lemme guess: Rorschach
Well staged, but I would have like to have seen it done with wax monkeys.
Quite so.
Quite so.
Thx.
I was away for a bit. Those following the Roman cult of the pope obviously writhe and hiss like serpents on the fire at quotations from the Word. Their mockery is recorded here for all to witness. They post behind screen names so as to not to reveal their real identities like the funny costumes the leadership of their church wear.
There is famine here: the soil is barren and parched. I have all but given up and ready to pull up stakes and present my thoughts elsewhere to more fertile minds. The kingdom of God is all around us in everything, if we change our view. Many see this but are without solid Biblical foundation or guidance. These folks are the target of my ministry now. They starve for spiritual nourishment.
What an outrageously clueless bunch of assertions.
How did Christ, BTW, respond to the RELIGIOUS rulers DEMANDS
that He
“prove it?”
You are not Christ.
So prove your assertions about the “clueless” nature of my assertions.
Get on with it, please.
Fascinating . . .
the rabid RC rabble used to content themselves . . . as close as they seemed to get to contentment . . .
with coming on our threads and throwing rocks willy nilly as vigorously and casually as they could in every direction with great irrationality and brazen cheekiness . . .
though they were extremely indignant and haughty when any of us went on any of their threads and said the least kind of thing that disagreed with their lofty haughty pontifications.
Now, it seems that they feel compelled to not only come on the threads and throw rocks like a shot gun blast . . .
they also want to throw the contents of their honey buckets far and wide, as well.
Sooooooooooooooo generous of them.
/sar.
Not at all a priority for me currently.
God will get to it in His time.
News flash: virtually everyone here, not just those who "follow the Roman cult of the pope (and) obviously writhe and hiss like serpents on the fire at quotations from the Word" has a screen name different from their real name.
Herbert W. Armstrong is dead, and his doctrine died with him. You guys seem embarrassed by a lot of it, given the massive revisionist slant your current theology has in the various groups splintering off after his death. You folks have nothing to tell us Catholics in the way of providing "spiritual nourishment." Go occupy yourself with some DNA studies confirming that the descendants of the Lost Tribes are to be found among contemporary Englishmen, or something. Have a nice day.
I know; I love that tagline. I make mistakes but never, thank God, the mistake of doubt. I’m trying to take myself less seriously.
How are you doing, Quix? I hope all is well. You are sounding very spunky.
I’m still Catholic. But don’t hold that against me, please. I have beautiful plumage and am never mean!
Naw.
I think following Jesus on that score is much wiser.
He modeled the proper response to such naysayers and such . . . perspectives . . . 2,000 years ago, very well.
I’ve never been a big fan of butting my head against a granite cliff relentlessly.
Congrats on all those counts.
Not being mean is a great achievement. Some of your co-horts seem in danger of never learning that lesson.
My chest is slowly improving. Getting caught up with student adminstrivia. Missing out on pottery still.
God is still God and always will be God.
Still learning to let go and let God here and there but progress.
God’s best to you and yours.
You might have enough wisdom and maturity to profit from this post:

Huh? Unlike you, I have a homepage here that describes my beliefs for anyone that is interested. Check it out -- we aren't Mormon or whatever.
A FRiend of mine posted a thread where his words were attacked with mockery. Hardly Christian behavior and is shameful. I responded in kind to put the shoe on the other foot.
As for me, personally, my wife and many in her family were RCC -- my 1st marriage was to a RCC in a RCC church. I have profound respect for the mystical theology and contemplative practices of both the eastern orthodox and western saints such as Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross and Padre Pio. Therein is spiritual nourishment..
The Consummation of the Age marks the end of the pope's reign. He needs to step aside when the Roman and Orthodox churches unite. Drop teaching that the Lord is a victim and remove his dead body from the cross already! It's grotesque!
Many of us have been asking this for a while and, to the best of my knowledge, this internet "prophet" has NEVER denied that he believes he is God.
I wonder which version of the Internet Prophecy Generator is being used here? 3.2, or 4.6?
You know, the one where you enter a topic, ie “Eternal Fate of Unbelievers” KJV/New Jerusalem. Then it churns out a random series of phrases vaguely related to the topic, and you just toss in punctuation here and there.
There are a few stock phrases, like “rabid RCC’s” and “My sheep hear my voice” and “He who hath ears to hear, let him hear,” and “narrow is the way and strait the gate,” etc. that can be inserted, (Selah!)
And there you have it! A book! Take it to UPS, and they’ll upload it, print it, collate it, bind it, and it’s yours to sell on the net for $20.00 (although $19.99 is better). Order now and we’ll throw in the Pocket Edition of “Prophecy for End Times” (S & H extra).
That looks like a very nice dog. We have a greyhound.
