At Saint Mary the Virgin Catholic Church, the 75-year-old priest is married, members sing from an Episcopalian hymnal and parishioners kneel at the altar to receive Communion. Years ago, the Texas parish and a handful of other conservative Episcopal churches in the U.S. decided to become Roman Catholic. Though they were confirmed by the Vatican, they were still allowed to practice some of their Anglican traditions, including having married priests. Now, these churches may have helped pave the way for Anglicans worldwide, or Episcopalians as they are known in the U.S., to become Catholic under a new Vatican plan created to make it easier for such conversions. The surprise move revealed in October is designed to entice traditionalists opposed to women priests, openly gay clergy and blessing of same-sex unions.

“parishioners kneel at the altar to receive Communion.”
Sigh...I wish the Vatican would allow Catholic churches to retain some of their traditions too.
Hang on... don’t give up hope. The Age of Aquarius can’t last forever.

The Catholic Church in the United States was taken over by lunatics.
Christendom was taken over by lunatics 500 years ago.
Before you went to this parish, did you have any connection to Anglicanism?
None whatsoever. I was a Lutheran, raised Evangelical.
“The decision was prompted mainly by Anglo-Catholics in England and the Traditional Anglican Communion, a 77-million strong organization led by an Australian archbishop.”
Ugh! The author is a twit! TAC has 500,000 members. The entire Anglican Communion has 77,000,000 members.
There, fixed it for you!
Well, by liberals. But that may be redundant.
The “Reformation” was the first phase in a Revolution against God’s order. The second was the French Revolution and its inspired revolutions around the world. The third was Communism. The fourth is the current cultural revolution
Which explains the “liberation” theology put forth by Catholic priests in Central and South America.
They are tools of the Revolution.
You know, where’s your outrage over Muslim jihad? The way you carry on, you’d think that Catholicism is the big threat!
