I’ve been running a Catholic blog for a few years now and have inadvertently come across certain words and phrases that just drive self described “progressive” Catholics crazy. Tweeters have been doing this a while concerning politics but I thought we could have some fun here coming up with 3 word phrases that just unhinge “progressive” Catholics. When addressing the “Happy Clappy Liturgical Abusing Crowd” I do not espouse Communion on the tongue. They seemed relieved until I espouse Communion on the tongue at the communion rail which necessitates a kneeling position. The distress on their faces can't be hidden. I fashion myself as one who brings happiness and peace to the Vatican 2 types. I have threatened to sue a local parish which is “Progressive” for false advertising in calling itself as a Catholic Church.Debates with these pseudo catholics is much more spiritually refreshing and rewarding than debates with Fundamentalist Protestants.
