The Ignorant Fishermen Blog ^ | 2/24/10 | DJP I.F.

This study seeks to present from God's Holy Word what the Bible teaches about Mary of Nazareth, the young Jewish virgin that bore the Messiah, the Savior of the World. In this study we will seek to look at EVERY Bible verse found in the Holy Scriptures that pertains to Mary of Nazareth. Be sure to check out all the links for this study, for they will provide a deeper perspective into the person of Mary.

Introduction

In beginning this study, the clarifying statement should be made that the Bible, God’s infallible (reliable) and immaculate (perfect) Word, is the FINAL AUTHORITY when it comes to ALL matters pertaining to the truth of Christianity, which includes Mary (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16).

You wrote:

“We just do not worship her...”

Neither do we.

“...or give her a place that contradicts the Holy Scriptures.”

Neither do we.

“We keep her real and human.”

We know she is real and human. We do not claim she is unreal and inhuman. It’s really dishonest for anyone to imply we do.

May God Help you. You isolated that scripture from the rest, that person or persons are saying that quote to Jesus from his statement. It can mean they are complete liars and never did it just to say anything to get into heaven. Also Matthew 25:31-46 [the Sheep and the Goats] -Depart from me........into the eternal fire... For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat,I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me,I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.” ....... He will reply , ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal fire.” So the righteous are Christians doing christian works. What does I will spit you out neither hot nor cold but lukewarm in Revelation- Its an action You don’t just say your a Christian or I’m imputed. You act too. When Paul talks about works he is talking about Temple works[Mosaic law and offerings] which were still going on as he wrote the epistles. As James reads whats faith without works. Please reread bible on your own carefully . In His Love Jesus Bye

Are you doing many mighty works for Jesus? Are you a profitable servant?

The righteous are those who have believed in the one whom the Father sent. Those are the ones who enter the kingdom as Jesus clearly teaches in Matthew 7.

You do not understand yourself or the Gospel.

You do not understand

Reading the mind of another Freeper is a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

lifting her up above the Apostles or anyother Christian>

The Apostles are what they are because Jesus was born of Mary. Other Christians are what they are because of the Apostles. Your radical egalitarianism is not what Christ taught either.

I didn’t read his mind. I read his post.

Who is dismissing her... just letting the Holy Scriptures define her. No Mary hating here.

Thanks. Glad that you are objective and let the Holy Scriptures define her.

God Bless

Yeah of course, I was not referring to you! I was commending your post FOR letting the Scriptures define her. I was talking about the people who do not investigate her through God’s Word at all.

Mary was not a wh###.......
No kidding.
But she was not holy either...
And the Angels said: "Hail (Mary) full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women"
Nor does she have anything to do with ones salvation.....
Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word.

How does that suggest that she has anything to do with ones salvation?.....Mary’s cousin was filled with The Holy Ghost while carrying John The Baptist.....That doesn’t make her Holy......But she was blessed.....Focus on The Lord’s Christ for your salvation, and stop worshipping idols....This is pointless, but I do pray you accept Christ for what He did, and who He is to each one who believes in Him as Messiah.....”

“Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word.”

But for that humble submission, she would not have been the Mother of God. She was the path God chose to give us His Son for our Salvation. She chose to accept that job. Free will, remember?
