5 This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.
6 He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
~ Jeremiah 17

ATX was a communications and software firm that started in 1985...were you one of the founders or early workers there?
“True, but it is no coincidence that Christianized societies led the rest of the world with regard to the advancement of “civil rights” and “human rights.” By living as Christ did in the midst of a godless, pagan culture such as that of Rome, their influence was powerful. Their beliefs and actions helped put an end to things like infanticide and gladitorial contests...and yes, eventually slavery.”
My argument is with the people in the modern “civil rights” movement in the USA, hiding in a robed clergy and presenting this perception that what they are doing is somehow found in the Scriptures.
Most of the leaders of the civil rights movement in the USA, with all of the “Reverends” attached to their names-—I don’t care how popular they have become in the school textbooks, or how many federal holidays can be named after them-—can not even rightfully call themselves Christians if you examine the tenets they adhered to.
Post 18, well put, thank you.

Actually, the Godless are working hard to enslave the 200 million serfs and slaves globally that they are working to reduce the world’s population down to.
And, given the Biblical exhortations about debt . . . 100’s of millions are already enslaved in all but label only.
INDEED.
Liberal, short, journalistic paragraphing will get you more readers.
No, but since you put it that way - you certainly are.
But it seemed to me he isn’t aware that he signed on to a God friendly Conservative website - because he is mocking the Bible. At least I am brighter than that.
You seem plenty bright to me . . . maybe a bit hastey in replying.
However, my mother got most of her exercise jumping to conclusions . . . so . . . I’m more than a little used to it! LOL.
Thanks for your kind reply.
I agree with you and mostly wanted to be sure you understood that.
Blessings to you and your loved ones, including your Dalmatian.
You know what I was getting at....Skeptics always love to say the Bible is Bad when they don’t acknowledge from which sources the skeptics themselves base their judgments of what is “good or evil”!
Hence the use of the term “moral code”, with that poor uninitiated soul. I tried to make it simple for him...I really did! I could have quoted the book of Hebrews, partially from which I drew my post but it wouldn’t have mattered.
Usually, when I ask a skeptic from whence came their own moral or personal beliefs when judging Christianity right or wrong, it’s such a question out of left field for them that they can hardly answer. They see that the question has left them blindly exposed and they change the subject, launch an ad hominem, attack Bush or Palin, or just end the conversation.
QUITE SO.
QUITE SO.
Thanks for your kind reply.
Very well said.
