For They Heard Them Speaking in Tongues & Praising God Acts 10:46 [Missionary experience, bk]

The train from Colon, Panama, brought several passengers to the village of Frijoles one Sunday morning. Many had heard of the miracles of God in this church and came for physical healing. One was an elderly woman known as Mama Mecha.

That morning Mama Mecha received Jesus as her Savior. After the service, the congregation went to the inlet of Gatun Lake, which is a short distance from the church, to baptize the new converts. Her testimony of her conversion that morning stirred many hearts.

As Mama Mecha came up out of the water, she lifted her hands in praise to the Lord, and suddenly she began to speak in another tongue. Standing in the crowd was a man from Spain. He had been an archeologist in Egypt for several years and also served as a Roman Catholic priest in Spain and Panama.

Late that afternoon, while on the train returning to Panama City, he said to missionary Arthur Edwards, "After her baptism, that elderly woman spoke in an ancient* Egyptian language and quoted a psalm of praise from the Old Testament. There is no way she could even speak one word of that language which I learned in my work as an archeologist in Egypt. That had to be God."

Lord, I think you for giving me a prayer language. Let me use my gift to glorify you. . .

That would certainly tend to weed out the luke warm etc. right quick

Matt 17:16-18 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him."

And Jesus answered and said, "You unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him here to Me."

Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment.

There are several cases of such in the book I’m quoting from.

Folks really do not understand what they are asking for when they throw rocks at what is genuinely Holy Spirit’s doing.

There’s lots of counterfeit.

THERE’S ALSO THE AUTHENTIC AND GENUINE. AND GOD IS VERY JEALOUS ABOUT THAT!

‘Blessing, and Honor, and Glory, and Power, be unto Him that Sitteth upon the Throne, and unto the Lamb Forever and Ever.’ (Rev.5:13)

I remember going to a healing service on a Wednesday night in the eighties. My mother and kin and a neighbor and myself went to this Charismatic service in the Church. Well the priest( He was a Traveling Healing priest) talked about why some are healed and not but the real reason its in Gods hands(explanation). So some will be healed and others maybe not. He also said he was in the office of Healing? ( or Quix help me = one of the 9 gifts of the spirit Its been a long time to know specific name). Then read those passages of faith in scripture.

Well he had everyone lined up at this round altar. I was right up there. He went to each person an talked(verses of scripture) to them and then lay ed his hands on each.

He came to this 9 year old girl who had cancer totally bald and sweating up top. So when you looked at her you could see a shine from the light(ceiling lamp) above on her head. The poor thing to experience this at that age. Well he put his hands on her head as he was taking them off peach hair fuzz was growing. I eventually could not see the light reflection on her head. Glory be to Jesus! I have never seen something up front like this since.

Then our neighbor who was in the medical books for one of the largest diseased spleen( or other organ in the abdomen not sure right now) with low blood count was standing there when the priest came put his hands on her. She eventually sensed a healing. She went to the doc to confirm like the healer told her. He flipped his wig. He had successive xrays done. The blood count was perfect and the organ went down a bit. She was suppose to die that year. She out lived her husband by 9 years.

I went to both rite of Christian Burials. Praise Jesus!
