Many of you know the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America recently added seven pastors who are gay, bisexual or transgender, to its clergy roster. This occurred at a Rite of Reception service.
Here are a few things you may not have heard concerning this.
1) During the "festival Eucharist celebrating the reception and reinstatement of pastors," (p 4) the congregation recited the “Our Mother who is within us” prayer taken from the Goddess Rosary (read more about the Goddess Rosary here) . The prayer goes like this -
"Our Mother who is within us we celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limits and we let go. You support us in our power and we act in courage. For you are the dwelling place within us, the empowerment around us, and the celebration among us, now and forever. Amen"
"The paraphrase of the Lord’s Prayer, 'Our Mother who is within us . . .' is a part of the Goddess Rosary offered at University Lutheran Chapel of Berkeley (ELCA)."
2) The sermon for this "celebration" was delivered by Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber, who is a "Featured Speaker" at the publicized ELCA "Sharing the Gospel in a 2.0 World" event on August 11-14, 2010. (read here)
3) Much like item 1), they included a number of other prayers (listed below) to a god they call "Mother." (note that the Bible never calls God this name)
"O Sophia, Wisdom and Mother of us all, you are One with many names and images. May we see in all who are gathered here today your multiplicity of blessings. Today we honor your unlocking systems and practices that devalued and demeaned us for so many years and by putting your way of honoring people in its place. Most Holy One."
"Life-giving Mother, you make a home for us in the midst of our fear… …that we may share your gifts with a hungry world:"

One should also take note that there were a number of ELCA bishops involved in this Rite of Reception, as well as many ELCA pastors.
This kind of thing would not be happening if the ELCA did not support it.
That occured while they were alive. Has nothing to do with prayer or worship, period. That's a Catholic afterthought to justify a non-judaic practice into God's true religion.
When I see prayers written to Abraham Lincoln then your aplogetic will stand scrutiny. By all objective standards, Mary is given disproportionate honor compared to God and His Son Yeshua, at least as far as the Rosary itself is concerned. 50+ prayers to Mary v. 10 to the Lord in the form of the Lord's praper. I don't see Abraham Lincoln getting that much attention anywhere.

Just amazing.
I have seldom seen a more thorough indictment of Protestantism in general.
Get the beams out of your eyes, Protestants ... Your actions on this thread cast shame and discredit on your religion.
As for Our Lady, she does not get in our way of worshiping Yeshua, never has, she worships him too. Yeshua did give us his mother when he was on the cross, she became our mother as well, and don't the commandments say "Honor they Father and Mother"?

That vision is NOT the Virgin Mary, it's a symbol of his people Israel as represented by the 12 tribes and the 12 apostles. If any eartly woman is the "Mother of the Believers", it is Sarah, as the Apostle Paul calls her the mother of those who are free.
It matters not, we have our different beliefs, I am just glad to know more of my Jewish Brothers and Sisters have found Yeshua our Master and are worshiping him.

Seven appeared in chaos, androgynous. They have their masculine names and their feminine names. The feminine name is Pronoia (Forethought) Sambathas, which is ‘week’.
And his son is called Yao: his feminine name is Lordship.
Sabaoth: his feminine name is Deity.
Adonaios: his feminine name is Kingship.
Elaios: his feminine name is Jealousy.
Oraios: his feminine name is Wealth.
And Astaphaios: his feminine name is Sophia (Wisdom).
These are the seven forces of the seven heavens of chaos. And they were born androgynous, consistent with the immortal pattern that existed before them, according to the wish of Pistis: so that the likeness of what had existed since the beginning might reign to the end. You will find the effect of these names and the force of the male entities in the Archangelic (Book) of the Prophet Moses, and the names of the female entities in the first Book of Noraia.
Just do not seek it out. If God wants to send a message. He decides not you. Be cautious.
Do not let People who do not understand bother you. Just pray for them.
