The article mentions he was mentally ill (which is kind of obvious since he shot him because he was mad at his old Bishop from 1988).

Let’s be sure to leave that out of the thread title though huh? Keep twisting and see if you can make this the Church’s fault.

The article is titled correctly, according to FR
guidelines.

You may want to review them...

What is wrong with you. I didn't leave anything out. I posted the heading just as it reads from the paper, and I'm not allowed to post the article, but I posted a link so all could go there an read.

You my FRiend are a piece of work!

That's colorcountry's MO. Post anything that puts the Mormons in a bad light. "...Mormon (or former Mormon) does something bad...ergo.. Mormon Church bad..."

after all the mormon flame baiting, this post is necessary to clarify the unknowns and focus the real motives behind this unfortuate event. If the church was at fault, that should be known, but if this is just a kook - then let the facts become known as to why he murdered the bishop.

I understand how ex-members can be pushed to the brink. This man definitely harbored animosity for 30 years against his former church.

He was only a teen then.

Watch out! Hey, everybody! This thread is all about ME!!

I posted a headline and I posted a link and I offered a prayer and you say this:

That's colorcountry's MO. Post anything that puts the Mormons in a bad light. "...Mormon (or former Mormon) does something bad...ergo.. Mormon Church bad..."

You're making it a bit personal aren't you? Or is that your MO?

“Hmmm. I wonder what his FR screen name was.

Occasionally, someone who portrays themselves as
(apparently) educated, makes a statement that is
so out of touch with reality and so infused with
emotion that I am left wondering just how dark
it is in their parent’s basement.

Yours was one of those posts.

Perhaps it’s time to invest some of your own money
in more light bulbs...?

Check your local ward roll councilor, or baptism records.

I'm no expert when it comes to Mormons. I do know for a fact that any Mormon I have ever met will help you with just about anything and with no questions asked. They will give you the shirt off their back and not think twice about have doing so. That has been my personal experience.

I was one - born one - I’m married to one. Some are good, some are not. They are people, just like all other fallible, sinful people. Thank God we have the atonement of Christ - we need it - all of us!

It’s called “fellowshipping”. Once they realize you are not going to join Mormonism, they will end any help they may have once provided.

They actually have a program for doing all this - just ask a former Mormon.

Let’s see a mentally ill (accoding to killers brother) murders a Mormon church leader and father of 6 for some decades old grudge against a former church leader and a few here use this thread to express their anti Mormon feelings.

Pathetic
