>> He said, “Except a MAN must be BORN of WATER, and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God”.<<

John 7: 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.

Surely you don’t interpret from John 7:38 that we are to urinate on someone. Still, that would be the only way to interpret the water analogy if we were to take it literally.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:13-14

Are we to infer from the above verse that literal H2O is what Jesus was referring to here?

Born again of “water”? How about we understand what is meant by water in the above verses and others throughout Scripture. It’s the Word of God, and who is the Word? Who said “I am the Word”?

Don’t you see that you answered the matter yourself?
At the beginning of the conversation the Lord tells the woman at the well that he “would have given thee LIVING water. The same is mentioned in John 7:38: “..rivers of LIVING water”.

It’s just ‘water’, without an adjective, in John 3

Granted, in the literal sense, there are things living IN most of the water around us; which is why we should boil it before drinking.

Am I trying to take credit for obeying God’s word? Except for the Spirit drawing me, I would not. The Lord said, “..blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.” Luke 11:27

There are a good many folk that will not obey Acts 2:38 because in will cause division, and/or loss of family, friends, even houses and land. I credit my wife for having a stronger will than I at the time we were pondering the Acts 2 message. I had relation already converted, while she had none, and received much more persecusion. While she loves her family very much, she truly loves the Lord more than family, houses, and land.

The message is strong, and cuts like a knife.

Beautifully said.

Eph. 5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing water by the word,
