We have posters on FR who claim to speak for God."
The pope posts here ????
Nope, just run of the mill neo-Montanists. The claim is the same, though: continuing, binding and authoritative, extra-biblical revelation in the post-apostolic era.

Now now.
We can’t go expecting
The Vatican Alice In Wonderland’s School of Theology and Reality Mangling’s
off the wall superstitions and fantasies to be logical, rational!

That was my though also..Not too many blue eyed people at that time in the Jewish community...such little things can cause one to think its a false thing that the people saw..Don’t believe in their visions anyway..

Since according to Roman Catholic dogma the Virgin Mary died as an aged mature woman, and was later resurrected and assumed into Heaven, why would she now appear as an 18 year old?

Oh, BROTHER........
Is there no end to the fantasies surrounding her?
2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Please don’t attribute this to “Vatican Alice in Wonderland School of Theology and Reality Mangling.” That is unjust. The Roman Catholic Church does not accept the Mejugorje visions as authentic at all, and discourages believers from paying attention to them.

That’s encouraging.
Thanks for letting me know.
I know y’all have a fairly rigorous and lengthy process for such things.
And, in the natural scheme of things, it IS quite impressive.
I just think that 12-112 flawed theological elites and group-think taking a long time to vet something can still make some horrendous errors.
Witness, Fatima, imho.

I would have thought so too. Where do they the blue eyes from? Some inebriated Renaissance artist remembering the last girl he slept with.

If Mary was assumed into heaven, wouldnt her body look like it did when she was assumed??? Not a teen age girl??? Looks like the Vatican website will have to change all its references from BEV Mary to BETV (Blessed Ever Teener Virgin) Mary.

My two favorite depictions of the Virgin Mary are:
Simone Martini's Annunciation Altar Piece...
...and D.G. Rossetti's Ecce Ancilla Domini:

why would she now appear as an 18 year old? I suppose she was incorruptible from the point she bore Jesus.
