Bible Codes: Will the Moshiach (Messiah) come next year in 2012?
Arutz Sheva ^ | April 3rd, 2011 | Tamar Yonah

Posted on 04/04/2011 5:03:25 PM PDT by TaraP

The horrors of history, the highs of humanity, they can all be found embedded in the Torah (Bible) Codes. Bible codes are Hebrew letters making up words which are found in equidistant sequences encoded in the Torah. The words they form can appear in horizontal, vertical, diagonal or even backwards directions and sometimes intersect each other, giving greater connective strength to a code.

On April 3rd, I interviewed Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson, an Israeli who is an expert in the Torah codes, and has authored over 25 books on different Torah topics, Jewish Mysticism, and other Judaic topics..

Torah code proponents know that one cannot predict the future with Bible codes because every future possibility is already encoded into the Torah. It is up to the free will of Mankind as to which future will materialize, therefore one may find a code that could portend an upcoming event, but it may or may not happen, and therefore, Torah codes should NOT be used to foretell events. However, it can be used to show when events could be RIPE to happen. Below is such a venue.

There is one event that most all of Mankind is waiting for, and that is the arrival of the Moshiach (Messiah). I will be asking Rav Glazerman about a video he put up showing the possibility of the Moshaich coming in almost exactly one year's time from now, next Passover, 2012. In this video below, he shows the time could be ripe for just such an event.

Question — isn’t this the Jewish Messiah, meaning for our Jewish friends, this would be the “real” messiah? I don’t know, so asking — my question may very well but utterly wrong, so would appreciate any correction. Thank you

Nope. Soon, but not yet. too much has to happen first (in the legal sense).

http://www.chabad.org/library/moshiach/article_cdo/aid/101680/jewish/Date-of-Mashiachs-Coming.htm

Date of Mashiach’s Coming

The actual date of the Messianic redemption is a guarded mystery unknown to man. It will happen “in its time” (Isaiah 60:22), predetermined from the beginning of creation. This ultimate ketz (time for the ‘end’) is unconditional: it does not depend on Israel’s merit, as it is said, “For My own sake, for My own sake, I will do it…” (Isaiah 48:11); “I wrought for My Name’s sake that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations.” (Ezekiel 20:9)

Even so, the wording of Isaiah 60:22 seems to display a contradiction by stating “in its time I will hasten it”: “in its time” means a set date; “I will hasten it” means that it may occur earlier, before “its time.” The contradiction is resolved as follows: “If they are worthy ‘I will hasten it;’ if not ‘in its time.’ ”

The implication is clear: Mashiach can come any day, even before the predetermined date: “This day if you will listen to His voice!” (Psalms 95:7) Every generation has a special ketz of its own, for, as stated, Mashiach is alive and present in every generation, albeit concealed. He is ready to be revealed at a moment’s notice. In the course of history prior to “its time” there are especially auspicious times when it is easier to effect his coming. To take advantage of these, to hasten the redemption, that depends completely on us.

You said:

“If they are worthy ‘I will hasten it;’ if not ‘in its time.’ ”

Can you elaborate? What makes one worthy to hasten that time?

Great! Make up a code that finds groupings in the Torah (can be done with any book, BTW) and then become a PROFIT, selling 25 books worth of "end of the world" stories.

And right now, 2012 sells!!!

And like every other "prophet" since the beginning of time, when the time passes and he is proven wrong, he can just move the date up, say God has decided to give mankind more time, and write another dozen books. As if he knows...

What a shame... or sham might be more appropriate.

http://www.chabad.org/library/moshiach/article_cdo/aid/101681/jewish/Hastening-Mashiach.htm

Hastening the Coming of Mashiach

There are a number of ways conducive to hasten the Messianic redemption prior to its final date. Generally speaking these involve the observance of some special mitzvot which constitute comprehensive principles of the Torah.

A. Special Mitzvot

Teshuvah: First and foremost among these mitzvot is the principle of teshuvah. “When you return unto G-d, your G-d, and will listen to His voice… G-d, your G-d, will return your captivity and have compassion upon you, and He will restore and gather you from all the nations to which G-d, your G-d, has dispersed you…” (Deuteronomy 30:2) Teshuvah will bring about an immediate redemption, “Today, if you will listen to His voice.” (Psalms 95:7)

“Watchman (i.e., G-d), what will be of the night (i.e., the galut)? Said the Watchman: ‘Morning (i.e., the redemption) has come, and also night (i.e., retribution for the heathens and oppressors of Israel); if you will request, request. Return and come!” (Isaiah 21:11-12) G-d says that He is ready, indeed anxious, to make the ‘morning’ shine for us. Upon Israel’s question ‘when?,’ the Divine response is: “Whenever you want, He wants! If you want to make your request to hasten the end, request!” What then is deterring the redemption? The lack of teshuvah; thus “Return and come!”

Teshuvah, the comprehensive principle of submission to G-d and His will, thus is the most obvious means to bring about the immediate coming of Mashiach. It does not require any extraordinary action or undertaking: the simple though sincere thought of regretting misdeeds with determination to better our ways is already complete teshuvah.

Shabbat: If Israel will keep just one Shabbat properly, Mashiach will come immediately.

Torah-study: “Torah-study is equivalent to all [the mitzvot].” (Pe’ah 1:1) By virtue of Torah they will return to the Holy Land and be gathered in from the exile. Israel shall be redeemed by virtue of ten people sitting one with the other, each of them studying with the other.

Especially significant in this context is the study of pnimiyut Hatorah, the mystical dimension of the Torah: “In the merit thereof ‘You shall proclaim liberty throughout the land’ (Leviticus 25:10).”

Tzedakah, too, is equivalent to all the mitzvot. Our compassion for the needy and downcast evokes a reciprocal compassion from Heaven, thus hastening the day of the scion of David (Mashiach) and the days of our redemption. “Zion shall be redeemed by justice and her repatriates by tzedakah.” (Isaiah 1:27) “Keep justice and do tzedakah, for My salvation is near to come and My tzedakah to be revealed.” (Isaiah 56:1)

Other mitzvot charged with special efficacy to bring about the redemption are procreation (Genesis 1:28), the four species of Sukot (Leviticus 23:40), and the sending away of the mother-bird (Deuteronomy 22:6-7).

B. Unity of Israel

Before Jacob passed away, he addressed all his sons: “Gather together and I shall tell you that which shall occur to you in the end of days. Assemble yourselves and hear…” (Genesis 49:1-2) With these words he warned them against any dissension among themselves. He said to them:

“Though it is not known when the Day of Judgment will be, I do tell you that the hour you gather and assemble together you shall be redeemed, as it is said, ‘I will surely gather Jacob, all of you [i.e., when all of you are together]…’ for then immediately ‘their king shall pass before them and G-d at the head of them.’ (Michah 2:12-13).”

The unity of Israel, all being as one, is the preparation and condition for the ultimate redemption.

“It is presently ‘dark’ for you, but the Holy One, blessed be He, will in the future illuminate for you as an everlasting light, as it is said, ‘G-d shall be for you an everlasting light’ (Isaiah 60:19). When will that be? When all of you will be a singular band… Israel will be redeemed when they shall be a singular band, as it is said, ‘In those days and in that time, says G-d, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together…’ (Jeremiah 50:4); and it is said, ‘In those days, the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together from the land of the north to the land I have given as a legacy to your fathers’ (Jeremiah 3:18). When they are bound together they shall receive the Face of the Shechinah!”

Internal unity, ahavat Yisrael, peace and harmony, safeguard even against punishment for the worst sin; but when “their heart is divided, they shall bear their guilt.” (Hosea 10:2)

Notwithstanding the idyllic ritual observance in the days of the Second Temple, dissension, gratuitous hatred and divisiveness, caused the destruction of the Bet Hamikdash and the present galut. Rectification of this condition will bring about the restoration of the Bet Hamikdash and the Messianic redemption.

One other principle to hasten and actualize the Messianic redemption, of utmost significance and in fact at the very core of our affirmation of the fundamental doctrine of Mashiach, is the very belief in, and anticipation of, the coming of Mashiach:

Okay..Thank you for your response, but let me ask you this about *Hastening* if Israel never does any of this, are you saying the Mashiach will never come? and is that scriptual?

I will just say this:

Jews, Christians, Muslims and Secularists Pagans are all waiting for a Great Event to happen in this confusing and challenging world we all live in....

I as a Christian wait for the return of the *Christ* the LORD....

However I think there is some fascinating information about a Miraculous Event that all nations await...

Here is a little I would like to share....

The Days of Redemption – the Three Days in History when the

Cycle of the Sun Returns to its Place of Origin at Earth’s Creation...*Is this Cycle based on the 2012 Mayan Prophecy*?

There is much media coverage, especially on the History Channel, about the coming date of Dec. 21, 2012, or 12/21/12. Many books and videos say that the prophecies of the Mayan Long Count Calendar ends on that date and is suppose to result in apocalyptic events such as earthquakes, famine, floods, hurricanes, etc......

One of the things which is supposed to happen on December 21, 2012 is that the Earth and Sun are supposed to line up with the Milky Way’s equator. So the first question should be, “What is the galactic equator?”

Rabbi Winston revealed, prophetic understanding has returned in force to the Jewish highlands of Jerusalem and Galilee. Has the spirit of Elijah finally arrived? Just as John the Baptist carried the mantle of Elijah the prophet and proclaimed the coming of messiah as the “voice crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare ye the way of the Lord”, so also the Prophet Elijah, the forerunner of the Messiah will return at the final days of this earth’s last era before the coming of the messiah.

The hope of the Jewish people is that the eighth year of this seven year cycle, 2008 (fall of 2007 to the fall of 2008) will bring the final coming of the Maschiach ben David (Messiah son of David. Yet we ask, which messiah are they really expecting? The Messiah son of Joseph?

It was again, Rabbi Winston who revealed on his site, thirty-six.org, concerning a Jewish Talmudic commentary called the “Meir Einai Chachamim” that was written by Rabbi Meir Lublin ben Gedelia (1558 - 1613) that was based on the Torah teachings of the Ostrovster Rabbi. This particular prayer, “Kiddush HaChamah” was a special prayer that gave thanks to the God of the Universes for the sun that was recited in prayer when the twenty-eight year cycle of the heavenly bodies completed itself at the spring equinox.

There was something mysterious that was revealed in the “Meir Einei Chachamim”. Only three times since Creation, and in the history of the descendants of Adam, that the twenty-eight year cycle solar cycle of the sun returned to the Wednesday spring equinox position in the heavens on Eriv Pesach (the eve of Passover) on the same day of the week at its creation day of revelation. So the prayer blesses of the sun when it returns to its full circle of the heavens to its original position in the heavens where it stood at the time, on the 4th day of Creation,. As written:

“Meir Einai Chachamim” by the Ostrovster Rabbi – “From the time of Creation, there are three times that Kiddush HaChamah falls on Erev Pesach (Passover): the year they left Egypt—it is mentioned in the Talmud that Kiddush HaChamah happened on Erev Pesach on a Wednesday—and the second time was in the year of the redemption of Mordechai and Esther, who then fasted on the 14th, 15th, and 16th (of Nissan).

The third time Kiddush HaChamah occurs on Erev Pesach, not much time will pass before the redemption comes, God willing.”
