Sounds like premeditated 1st degree murder with no mercy and no remorse. Sentence seems a little light to me.

The sentence shows prejudice. Were it a White Christian male that knocked off his daughter for some idiotic reason he’d be on death row.

As with other state laws, the prosecution has to prove one of several aggravating circumstances for capital punishment to be possible. Plain old ordinary premeditated murder doesn't usually qualify.
If the other lady he ran over had also died, things might have been different.

Personally, I think most people who commit first-degree murder should be executed, with imprisonment the rare exception to the general rule. But the Court doesn't agree with me.
