My husband and I do. As do my Mom and Dad, My brother and his wife, all my aunts and uncles, even my pastor is living with his wife!
I thought that was how you did it. Do you have sort of new revelation?

It would probably be surprising if we knew, but after all, Jesus did promise our secrets would be out for all to know eventually. I assume you mention cohabitation. Frankly, all I have to say is that such a lifestyle is pervasive throughout America, and even moreso in Europe for a while. Frankly, it has disappointed me to see plenty of fellow young men I knew who could have gotten married back in the day getting involved in cohabitation. It’s generally less than the commitment of marriage. And frankly, the sad part is plenty of priests, pastors, and ministers preach to the choir when they do mention it. While I am not guilty of doing it, I do feel guilty at some times for not bothering to speak up to those I knew and at least suggest they not go through with it, at least propose to the woman, if you know what I am saying?

I am living with a member of the opposite sex. We are both Christians. She is my wife.

Oh yeah....and everyone sins. Every day. Christians are no different except we are suppose to TRY to be better than that. I will agree that “shacking up” is not trying, it is surrender.
I am currently living with (gasp) three members of the opposite sex. And also (gasp) three members of the same sex.
Wife and two daughters.
Three sons.
And two guinea pigs (although since they are dumber than a pencil eraser, technically they don’t count).
The preacher is doing a stemwinder of sermon on the evils of sexual immorality, both of the homo and hetero variety. He's got the congregation worked into a frenzy of guilt and amen choruses. Finally, he reaches the climax.
"All of you who're guilty of HEing and HEing, get up, get out, go home and repent!"
A handful of male members of the congregation leave.
"Now all of you who're guilty of SHEing and SHEing, get up, get out, go home and repent!"
A couple of fat ugly females do so.
"Finally, all of you who're guilty of HEing and SHEing, get up, get out, go home and repent!"
There's a stampede for the exits.
The preacher looks up and sees one little old man sitting in the front row.
"Brother Tucker," he exclaims. "Didn't you hear my sermon about how we are born into sexual sin, about how we are all guilty, about how we must repent and rely on the Lord Jesus Christ to save us? I don't mean to accuse you, but surely you must be guilty of some sexual sin as are we all!"
"Well, preacher," says brother Tucker, "You didn't say anything about MEing and MEing."

The preacher began his sermon with a modest disclaimer,
“Now, you all know I’m just a poor country preacher.”
“I know,” said an elderly woman. “I’ve heard you preach.”
That's one way to fill the pews.

Perry and NewSpring are far more factually truthful than any of the pastors and churches I have ever attended.
As I understand it, he became jaded with pastoral training when they got into their “secret decoder ring” portion of the program and walked.
Perry and NewSpring are about the real God, the real Jesus and His relationship with real people. People accepted as they are and bringing them into the light: objective truth.
Praise the Lord.

Why are some Christians obsessed with sex?
We in the church, (followers of Christ, no matter which religion we claim)are not to look at non-believers and decry their non-Christian behavior; God will judge those at the Day of Judgement, not because of their sin, as we are ALL sinners, but because they do not accept Him.
It is when followers of Christ look to our fellow believers, pretending not to notice when those of our brethren live like pagans.
Paul teaches us that Christ will not look kindly at our behavior, accepting immoral standards within our own. He will judge us for pretending that rampant sin is not occurring in our midst just as He will judge those living the lie.
Probably for the same reason some atheists and agnostics are.
