Christianists? What’s he trying to say by that?

The LAST thing I want is a civil war.

If the left insists, however, I think they will be quite shocked at the outcome.

~or~ ??

You seem to be ruling out the chance that Romney and Obama might end up the same Demo’rat slate. :-)

I fear a cerebrovascular accident for Andrew if You-Know-Who gets in, wins the nom, and beats Obama. (Which end his brain is in is a question I leave to you.)

“He probably should fear the civil war if Obama wins again.”

The reality is that it really doesn’t matter who wins in 2012, the country seems to be so ideologically divided that some sort of breakup is coming down the line.

If that time comes, it probably will _not_ be conservatives who start the hostilities. I believe the conservative cohort of America (perhaps soon-to-be a “post American” Commonwealth of North American States) would prefer a peaceful separation, wishing only to be left alone and go their own way in pursuit of their own ideals.

It is _the left_ that will resort to violence to prevent them from going. That violence will most likely be used under the auspices of the federal government, but ultimately it will be those in the military who decide whether such a separation will be peaceful or violent.

Just sayin’...

I agree. I thought it was common knowledge that our side has all the guns.

Well put. Social justice is based on some perceived duty to be my brother’s keeper. You cannot deplore the Christian religion on the one hand and then on the other hand seek to use it to justify stealing my wealth.

Not a chance. Since his birth, Andrew has never gone ANYWHERE NEAR a female’s reproductive system. Stop spreading LIES! Bob

There’s gonna be CW II either way. So, the worry should be about who’s going to win it.

Let's see....which side is it that puts their blind faith in a false idol with zero experience for the job he applied for? As for our opponents, they are too lazy to participate in a civil war (it means they will have do some work).

Romans is nice, but I like Genesis better.

Only six people in Sodom voted against Sodomy (Lot, his wife, two daughters and the visiting holy men), but guess who won?

Andy will be on the front lines of hit war, hitting people with his purse while waving his “proof” about Tryg Palin’s “real mother” in the other hand.

Nothing can unite FR like an idiotic rant by Andy Sully!

Why for the life of me anyone pays any attention to Andrew Sullivan is beyond me. The guy is obviously mentally disturbed and isn't a particularly good writer. And yet I keep hearing about him writing this or that. I didn't even know who he was until people on FR kept posting his articles. He's a very sick man who ought to be pitied. And he isn't even a good intellectual (not sure if that's a compliment or insult).

A nice thought, but others have beat you to it. I’ve seen the word used for quite some time now. A good thought anyhow.

Hoffa-Put a face on the Left right here. In some kind of confused rant, he seems to say that somehow the Tea Party has taken America away from the 'workers'. (whatever he seems to deem that to be)

In typical Leftist fashion, everything is upside down and backwards. Good is bad...bad is good...black is white, up is down, down is up? Homosexuals, Socialists, and Muslims, are Great! Christians are the real problem with America. (they took our jobs...uuuhh what!? what the hell are you talking about??)

It is HIM and the very people he supports and who support him who caused this problem.

One thing is very clear. These people are now directly talking about taking America 'by force'. (we are going to "take these sons of bitches OUT!" we are Obama's ARMY!)

Not looking too good...my brothers and sisters...

Andrew departed the real world quite some time ago. One of the sillier fantasies on the Left is the persistent and fervent conviction that because they are irreligious their opponents must be in favor of a theocracy, and I mean in a very literal sense. And what lifts this conviction into the realm of grand fantasy is the stubborn refusal to modify it in the face of contrary evidence.

Fully seven years into the Bush administration we were still hearing the hysterical insistence that somehow he intended to abrogate Roe v Wade by executive order and institute government by television ministry despite the total absence of a shred of evidence of any activity or even intention in those regards. One hesitates even to call this politics; it is, in fact, a group of small children sitting around a campfire telling ghost stories.

As far as 0bama's looming defeat - haste the day! - I rather doubt that any resulting violence will be along religious lines unless it is on the part of the Nation of Islam, and I doubt even more if it will originate on the Right, political violence being nearly exclusively the province of the Left. There gets to a point where the campfire stories just aren't scary anymore. Sometimes it's because the kiddies are growing up. Not Sullivan.
