Oh, I know... I still can’t get past their attempts at logic here...
The cleric on the left is not Abp. Broglio. It is the Holy Father's personal secretary, Msgr. Gaenswein.
I didn’t think it looked like him, but that picture was from a few years ago and I wondered if there had been a change in his appearance.
It was great to meet Archbishop Broglio, though, and talk with him.
Therein lies the problem, Salvation. Notice that the Republican controlled House caved on this...the voted FOR repeal of DADT.
This should tell us that there are a large number of so-called "fiscal" conservatives in the House. IOW, they believe in anything goes so long as you balance your checkbook. They are a blight on this nation, and they are PROOF that no matter who wins the presidency, we are going to get same-old-same-old.
We are blessed.
A priest patriot and my Latin teacher in high school in Cleveland Ohio. KIA Vietnam 1968. Rest in peace warrior.
Nothing difficult about that.
Any Catholic person liberal enough to marry same sex couples has no business calling himself a Priest.

I recall a conversation I had with a close friend and former Catholic Chaplain in the Air Force (he retired as a Brig. General). It would be an understatement to say he is one of the most magnificent men I have ever known.
Just as an aside, if I recall our conversation correctly, there have been four Chaplains who have been awarded the Medal of Honor and all four were Catholic Chaplains.
Now more than ever, we NEED all Christian Chaplains in our military. They must be allowed to live their faith and provide solice and counsel to members of our military without government intervention.
EODGUY
I am sick to my stomach for the anguish that holy men and women ministering to our service members will be facing as this goes forward. I fear this will be ugly.
Well that is good because I would hate to have find a new Church this late in life.
The numbers of votes for this are so sad. I concur with your analysis. Throw them out!
Father Capodonno is indeed a hero.
Pray for more Catholic Chaplains. They now have a co-sponsorship program where they have a parish location as well as serving on the base.
I had never thought about it today, but several of the Catholic Chaplains on this Serra Club weekend repeated:
“In the regular world the people come to the priest in the parish. In the military world the priest goes to the troops, and basically has no parish.”
I think they are trying this co-sponsorship program in Washington, Virginia and one other state which I cannot remember at the present.
These priest who are also soldiers, sailors, air force personnel, etc. are truly God-fearing and God-serving men. God bless them.
I had never thought about it BEFORE today,
The end of DADT should effectively mean no changes for the chaplains. They still bless those who ask for it and extend sacraments to those who are eligible. The DoD can't require them to give communion to someone who isn't Catholic so they shouldn't be required to extend marriage to someone that isn't eligible for the sacrament either.
