A large cross that had been prominently displayed outside a chapel on an isolated military base in northern Afghanistan was taken down last week, prompting outrage from some American service members stationed there.

“We are here away from our families, and the chapel is the one place that feels like home,” a service member at Camp Marmal told POLITICO. “With the cross on the outside, it is a constant reminder for all of us that Jesus is here for us.”

We are no longer a Christian nation, we are a PC Obozo nation. Everything is excepted except Christian believes. Do not expect any past servicemen or women in Congress to stand up for our Military.

“With the cross on the outside, it is a constant reminder for all of us that Jesus is here for us.”

With the cross removed, it is a constant reminder for all of us that Obama is there for the other side.

I made that same comment when the Russians decided to isolate Berlin from West Germany in defiance of a previously made agreement.

Instead of sending an armored division to Berlin, we complied with the Russians and started to supply Berlin by air.

We have learned to retreat ever since that time. I’m sure George Patton would have never given in to that concession but he had already died in a car accident.

“We would just like to know where the line is. The chaplains wear different religious symbols on their uniforms depending on which religion they are. Is that the next thing to be targeted?” added a second service member.

Why yes. Yes it is.

We need to pray earnestly that the Cross be reinstalled, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

About 8 years overdue.

Once we got done with the punitive expedition phase, we should have packed up and left, saying “do it again, and we’ll screw you up worse” on the way out.

Instead, idiots under Bush thought we could do meals on wheels with these savages.

total agreement. And you’re right - we ended up “nation building” under Jorge, something he promised he would not engage in during the 2000 debates with that jackass Gore.

Time to bail. If need be, just fly up some B-52s from Diego Garcia and arc-lite the hellhole.

no, we need to pray earnestly that some leader will have the guts to do what is necessary: Bring the troops home NOW and not have a single other American troop die on behalf of these ungrateful Muslim jackasses who are too lazy to seize this opportunity to better their country and lives.

To hell with Afghanistan and all its people.
