'Lord, how I Love You! For You have Done Such Tremendous Things for me.' (Ps.18:1) 'The Lord Liveth; and Blessed be my Rock; and let the God of my Salvation be Exalted.' (Ps.18:46) 'What a God He is! How Perfect in Every Way! All His promises Prove True. He is a Shield for Everyone who Hides behind Him.' (Ps.18:30,31) 'Accept our Praise, O Lord, for All Your Glorious Power. We will Write Songs to Celebrate Your Mighty Acts!' (Ps.21:13)
Most Gracious Master, Please Intervene and Rescue our Wayward Land. We have Fallen So Far, our God, from the Standards our Founders Gave to us. Thank You, Father, that even in this Darkness, Jesus is Shining Forth His Glorious Light. Please Forgive our Iniquities, Abba, and Spare us the Judgments we Deserve. May Many Souls be Brought into the Ark of Safety, Jesus Christ. May Obama be Hindered, Lord, by Godly Men You Raise Up to Help us. We Look to You, our Savior-King, for Revival for our Sinful Land.
O Lord of Hosts, our Military Men are Ever in our Hearts. We Fervently Ask for their Blessing, Health, Safety, and Peace. May Jesus be the Savior and Friend of Every Man. Please Grant them Your Presence, Your Holy Spirit, and Your Strength. For our Troops we Pray Psalm 25:4,5: 'Show me the Path where I should Go, O Lord; Point Out the Right Road for me to Walk. Lead me; Teach me; for You are the God Who Gives me Salvation. I have No Hope Except in You.'
We Love You, Dear Father, and Rejoice in the Name of Thy Son. Thank You for Every Mercy You Grant to us, and for our Glorious Salvation, Lord. You are Wonderful, Precious Savior; You are 'the God Who Keeps Every Promise.' (Ps.146:6) We Praise you, we Worship You, in the Name of His Majesty our King, amen.

New York, 3 October 1789
By the President of the United States of America. A Proclamation.
Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favorand whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.
Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will beThat we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanksfor his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nationfor the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late warfor the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyedfor the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately institutedfor the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.
and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressionsto enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctuallyto render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyedto protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shown kindness onto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concordTo promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and usand generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.
Given under my hand at the City of New-York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.
