‘Bleeding’ Eucharist at Primary School in Moruga [Trinidad]

A bleeding image of the Holy Eucharist inside the Rock River Roman Catholic Primary School has created a stir in the remote south-eastern district of Moruga.

The unusual sighting was discovered by Eric Lewis, a Standard Two teacher at the school, at about midmorning yesterday just minutes after he taught students about the importance of the Holy Eucharist.

Since the discovery, scores of residents as well as Minister in the Education Ministry Clifton De Coteau and parish priest Fr Jayasaleen Baskar have visited the school to see the wooden carving of a chalice and the Host, symbolic of the Holy Eucharist. Two lines of a red-coloured liquid were seen dripping into a plastic container, strategically placed on the ground.

Persons were not allowed to touch the carving nor the liquid in the plastic container.

Lewis had earlier yesterday morning taught a lesson about the Holy Eucharist being the real body and blood of Jesus Christ in the classroom. With the aid of moulded clay made by the students, Lewis had demonstrated his lesson in front of the students.

To test the students’ knowledge of the Roman Catholic faith, Lewis said he asked if they had seen the real version of the body and blood of Christ.

Lewis said the students responded in the positive, went to an old cupboard nearby and retrieved the wooden carving of the chalice and Host.

Lewis said he placed the carving on the wall next to a crucifix.

Mathematics class followed, then the students went on break.

Lewis said when he returned to the classroom, he saw what appeared to be red liquid running down the wooden carving, thinking that a student had drawn on the carving, he said he questioned them, asking why they would put paint on the symbol he had just put.........

Another Eucharistic miracle? It will be investigated thoroughly by the Bishop and the Vatican before it would ever be pronounced a Eucharistic miracle.

I thought it was just naming the location. It doesn’t say caucus or anything like that. Just the name of Trinidad.

Hi Rnmomof 7-That is some crazy video. According to the video they are hypocrites ? Maybe if some did not believe in what the church believed. But if someone believes in it as truth they are not hypocrites.

This has been in the church for two thousand years. I know you do not understand what we believe but that video is crazy. We believe it is a benign presence.

I think the banter back and forth can get us down the wrong way. I tried to avoid at times myself.

Freeper Regards!

“”I thought the wine was the blood..””

The wine becomes the whole Christ just like the bread is the whole Christ present that is the Body,Blood,Soul and Divinity of Our Lord.

The late Fr John Hardon explains....”The whole substance of bread and wine, its “breadness” and “wineness,” is replaced by the living and glorified Jesus Christ. What remains of what had been bread and wine is only their external properties that can be perceived by the senses. As the Greek Fathers of the Church say, the ousia or being of bread and wine is changed into the being or reality of Jesus Christ. On the altar after the consecration there is no longer bread and wine but the same Jesus who was crucified, died and rose from the grave; and who will come in his glory on the last day to judge the living and the dead.”

You keep telling everyone you understood Catholic teaching because you were once Catholic- but it’s clear you don’t know the basic teaching.

Perhaps you should consider you made mistakes or were taught wrong and convert back to Catholicism?
