Merry Smithmas?

Quoted: "We are the beneficiaries of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, a work which had its earthly commencement with the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith, in the hills of Vermont on a December day in 1805. As we commemorate the birth of the babe in Bethlehem, the Savior of the world, may we also remember his emissary, Joseph Smith, and consciously rejoice in his life and sacrifice, as well." (Larry C. Porter, "Christmas with the Prophet Joseph", Ensign, Dec. 1978, 9)

With Joseph Smith’s birthday coming on Dec. 23, Jesus Christ gets plenty of Mormon competition!

Don’t believe me that this doesn’t practically carry itself out?

Really, how do lds deny that they do not worship Smith when their own leaders say they do.

O, maybe its not coming through. In the upper right hand corner there is a reflection and enlargement of this sign on the board in the lower left hand corner.

How many Mormons will chime in denying this actually existed or the pic is photoshoppped or it does not indicate worship Mr. Smith as God or as a god?

During Brigham Young's reign as Lds "prophet," one of his top two counselors was Heber C. Kimball:

"You call us fools; but the day will be, gentlemen and ladies, whether you belong to this Church or not, when you will prize brother Joseph Smith as the Prophet of the Living God, and look upon him as a God, and also upon Brigham Young, our Governor” Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 5, p. 88

Brigham Young: "No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... [Joseph Smith] reigns there as supreme a being in his sphere, capacity, and calling, as God does in heaven. Many will exclaim—'Oh, that is very disagreeable! It is preposterous! We cannot bear the thought!' But it is true." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p.289-91

“rejoice in his life and his sacrifices”, it says in the insert in the photo.

It makes me want to wretch. To compare the life and sacrifice of Jesus to the debauchery and evil of Smith is unconscionable. And then to blatantly do it at Christmas and state it loudly in this way is just too much.

This is what it says in the window.

“We are the beneficiaries of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, a work which had its earthly commencement with the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith, in the hills of Vermont on a December day in 1805. As we commemorate the birth of the baby in Bethlehem, the Savior of the world, may we also remember his messenger, Joseph Smith, and rejoice in his life and sacrifice.”

The real truth about what YOUR church teaches regarding Jesus:

"We may talk of men being redeemed by the efficacy of his [Christ's] blood; but the truth is that that blood has no efficacy to wash away our sins. That must depend upon our own action." [ LDS Apostle Amasa M. Lyman, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 7, p. 299, 1859]

Given this mormonic teaching that is the very essence of Antichrist, it is still amazing how much LDS inc apologists like you, Sandy, want folks to believe LDS inc is Christianity restored! MormonISM is the very essence of slick anti-Christ inveigling, and the promoters of this anti-Christian religion will continue to be exposed and opposed so long as Christians are not squelched by the political correctness approach inherent in the lie that exposing mormonISM is hate or hatred of the people trapped in this demonic cult.
