I am going to blame that slip of typing making my point unclear on my smart phone.

During Brigham Young's reign as Lds "prophet," one of his top two counselors was Heber C. Kimball:
"You call us fools; but the day will be, gentlemen and ladies, whether you belong to this Church or not, when you will prize brother Joseph Smith as the Prophet of the Living God, and look upon him as a God, and also upon Brigham Young, our Governor” Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 5, p. 88
Brigham Young: "No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith...every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are... It makes me want to wretch. To compare the life and sacrifice of Jesus to the debauchery and evil of Smith is unconscionable. And then to blatantly do it at Christmas and state it loudly in this way is just too much.
