Psalm 119:47-51

How I Love Your Laws! How I Enjoy Your Commands!
"Come, Come to me," I Call to them,
For I Love them and will Let them Fill my Life.
Never Forget Your Promises to me Your Servant,
For they are my Only Hope.
They Give me Strength in All my Troubles;
How they Refresh and Revive me!
Proud men Hold me in Contempt for Obedience to God,
But I Stand Unmoved.

Our Merciful Savior,

We Come into Your Presence with Joy, Lifting our Praise to the God over all gods. O Honorable and Glorious Sovereign, we Love to Magnify Your Name. Compassionate and Loving, Patient and Kind; this is the God we Dearly Love.

We Lift Dr. J. Vernon McGee's Ministry to You, So Grateful for the Work of this Dear Man. May Many Souls be Eternally Blessed through the Legacy he has Left Behind. How we Praise You for his Consistent Teaching of Salvation through Jesus Christ. We Ask for a Continual Increase of the Scope of 'Thru the Bible Radio' Radio. Please Fill Everyone Involved with this Work with Heaven's Power and Strength. May the Gospel Go Forth in Every Language through this Ministry, Lord. How we Glorify You, Gracious King, for Dr. McGee's Love for Your Holy Word. 'How I Love Your Laws! How I Enjoy Your Commands! "Come, Come to me," I Call to them, for I Love them and will Let them Fill my Life. Never Forget Your Promises to me Your Servant, for they are my Only Hope. They Give me Strength in All my Troubles; how they Refresh and Revive me! Proud men Hold me in Contempt for Obedience to God, but I Stand Unmoved. (Ps.119:47,48)

Be Praised, Mighty God, for our Valiant, Brave Troops. You have Blessed us So Much, Dearest Lord! Thank You for the Gift of these Courageous, Good Men. Please be their Strength, their Help, and their Guide. O Warrior-King, Please Cloak them with Your Divine Might. May Great Victories be Granted to them, through Your Holy Grace. Please Protect them, our God, and Grant Christ to Every Heart.

Many are our Requests, Sovereign-Strong; we Plead for Abortion's Final End. Please Turn Back this Evil Perversion that Blights our Land. We Ask Also for Help for Your Persecuted Lambs. Throughout the Earth, they are Lifting High Your Beautiful Name. Please Strengthen them and Help them, our Caring Father God. May their Tormentors Fall on their Faces Before Jesus Christ.

Thank You, our Shepherd, for Hearing our Heartfelt Prayers. Be Praised, be Magnified, be Exalted through Every Age! In Jesus' Name, for the Glory of Heaven's King, amen.

Breathtaking

December 11, 2011

A popular slogan says, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” I see the phrase everywhere, on everything from T-shirts to pieces of art. It’s a catchy phrase, but I think it’s misleading.

If we measure life by breathtaking moments, we miss the wonder of ordinary moments. Eating, sleeping, and breathing seem “ordinary” in that we do them every day, usually without much thought. But they are not ordinary at all. Every bite and every breath are miracles. In fact, having breath is more miraculous than anything that takes our breath away.

King Solomon may have had more breathtaking moments than anyone. He said, “I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure” (Eccl. 2:10). But he expressed cynicism about it by saying, “All of it is meaningless” (v.17 NIV).

Solomon’s life reminds us that it’s important to find joy in “ordinary” things, for they are indeed wonderful. Bigger is not always better. More is not always an improvement. Busier doesn’t make us more important.

Rather than look for meaning in breathtaking moments, we should find meaning in every breath we take, and make every breath meaningful.

All that I want is in Jesus;
He satisfies, joy He supplies;
Life would be worthless without Him,
All things in Jesus I find. —Loes

Breathing is more miraculous than anything
that takes our breath away.

THE NAVY HYMN

Eternal Father, Strong to Save

The Marine Corps Verse:

Eternal Father, grant we pray
To all Marines both night and day,
The Courage, Honor, Strength and Skill
Their Land to serve, Thy Law Fulfill.
Be Thou the Shield forevermore
From every peril to the Corps!

This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalms 118:24(KJV)

Have a Blessed Lord’s Day!
