Words are sacramental, which means they contain and convey the reality they speak.

Yet another definition of "sacramental."

“Words are not just blown air. They
have a meaning. If you are not sure what
you are talking about, are you saying any-
thing, or are you saying nothing? Words
seem different from the chirping of birds.
Is there a difference, or isn’t there?”

It will be interesting starting tonight with both the vigil and midnight masses when those Catholics who only come to church a few times a year, how they will deal in regards to the new English wording changes.

I think if the priest explains it at the beginning of Mass and how these translations adhere more to the beauty of the original Latin, that many people who are Christmas and Easter Catholics only will come back to the church in droves.

I’m expecting it and praying for it.

Haven’t talked to my priest yet, but I was got with a dental appointment and he got metal poisoning in his body and couldn’t eat for a whole day.

First, having just dealt with dental problems myself, my prayers for your parish priest.

Second, I sense that there will be special pre-mass explaining of the new English wording parts for the “C And E” Catholics, and may God Bless these efforts and HELP those Catholics to COME for Christmas and beyond.
