New Furor Erupts Over More Leaked Information on Santorum 'Endorsement'
Christian Post ^ | 1/18/2012 | Paul Stanley

CHARLESTON, S.C. – A new furor rocked politically active Christians today as news leaked that the founder of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson, may have cast aspersions on Callista Gingrich, wife of GOP contender Newt Gingrich, at a key moment before evangelicals voted in Texas to support Sen. Rick Santorum in the GOP presidential primary race. The effect of the disclosure on the race, especially on uncommitted Christian voters, is still unclear.

The comment happened at last Saturday’s meeting of influential evangelical leaders who had gathered at the Texas ranch of Judge Paul Pressler to discuss the GOP primary. In the run-up to the first vote, Dobson was praising Karen Santorum, the wife of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, when he mentioned Callista, as “a woman who was a man’s mistress for eight years.”

“Floored – a startling moment,” was how some of the attendees felt after digesting Dobson’s comments, according to a source that spoke to Business Insider, which first broke the news.

I agree with Dobson that Callista is an adulteress , she and Newt are a matched set... but at this point we have to understand there are no clean hands in Washington ..

Ugh. Okay, if we’re going to assail Newt’s wife, then I guess the dirt on Karen Santorum is fair game now?

Why not just tell the truth and support Perry?

Why does Dobson find Santorum to be pure?

Did she cheat too? I don’t know anything about her. Although she’s not running. What did she do? Is there a thread on her or a reliable article about it somewhere? Thanks

I'd prefer that to the Clintons.

The sad thing is that folks like Dobson will make Obama look like the quintessential “Family Man” in contrast to our candidates.

I am becoming very cynical of some of our “true believers”

She dated an abortion doctor for 6 years back in the 1980s starting when she was 22, lived with him as well. There are pictures of them floating around on the internet as well as interviews with the doctor - he knew her family. This was when she was working as a nurse. She looked happy enough.

Plenty of folks do stupid things in their 20s or have a change of heart later on so bringing her up at this point is a bit tacky.

I'm not completely sold on either Santorum or Gingrich, but Santorum supporters who are piling on Gingrich better be damned careful, because if Santorum had Gingrich's numbers and was making Romney sweat, you can be sure that the MSM would flood the airwaves and internet with photos of Mrs. Santorum and her ex-boyfriend and they would be talking about all of the abortions he performed. Santorum is just 10-20% away from having a similar hit job done on him by the media!

The implication that the status of the wife of a candidate reflects on the qualifications of the candidate illustrates the small minded bigotry of the christian hypocrite right.

These people have no business in the dealings of the kingdom of the left hand. They do harm to the cause of righteousness by their rank hypocrisy.

There is an article in the current Newsweek about Mrs. Santorum living with a much older abortion doctor when she was in her twenties, before she married Rick Santorum.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/01/15/mrs-santorum-s-abortion-doctor-boyfriend.html

There were a couple of FR threads about this. I couldn’t find the FR threads using the search function.

I’m sick of the self-righteous so-called Christians who would have gotten along famously with the Pharisees.

Jesus came for the sinners, not the saved.

They tend to forget the Parable of the Prodigal Son.

Luke 15:11-32
King James Version (KJV)
11And he said, A certain man had two sons:

12And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.

13And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.

14And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.

15And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

16And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.

17And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

18I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

19And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.

20And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

21And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.

22But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:

23And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

24For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

25Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.

26And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.

27And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.

28And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

29And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:

30But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.

31And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

32It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

>> She had an 8 year affair with a married newt<<

That whole vote thing with that group is starting to smell foul. The voted after many had left the meeting and there was no consensus. I believe that whole support will fall apart and amount to nothing. The leaks from the meeting are totally against the agreement of the group and the infighting and nastiness of that group will destroy it’s credibility.

I guess we allowed to damage people’s reputation if we do so in the context of a political campaign.

Some guy is running locally here in CT. Should I dig up some stuff on his wife and put flyers around the neighborhood?

Serial adulterer or serial defamer? Jimmy! Ya got no class.
