LA MIRADA, Calif. -- On the same day President Obama became the first U.S. president to come out in support of same-sex marriage, a group of students announced the presence of the "Biola Queer Underground" at this small evangelical university, touching off a highly-charged debate about Christianity and homosexuality.
The group launched a website and posted flyers around the Biola University campus May 9 with the following message: "We want to bring to light the presence of the LGBTQ community at Biola. Despite what some may assume, there are Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, and Queers at Biola. We are Biola's students, alumni, employees, and fellow followers of Christ. We want to be treated with equality and respected as another facet of Biola's diversity."

“and fellow followers of Christ.”
Well, if they ever had my support, they lost it right there.
To clarify: I think that you can’t call yourself a Christ follower and directly and openly flout the clear mandates of scripture regarding homosexuality.
Any admission or evidence of homosexuality would be grounds for immediate dismissal.
Who are they? Did they give their names? They didn’t come out if they can’t be identified.
Let’s all thank the dear leader for making this possible...
LGBTQ? Isn’t the “Q” for queer redundant?
Although I would wager that the “underground” is much smaller than they would lead you to believe.
agree
re: “Chris Grace, vice president for student development at Biola, said the school would like to engage in conversation with the underground group but has been stymied by the members’ anonymity. We really are at a disadvantage here because we dont know who these people are, Grace said, adding that the university would “love and welcome a conversation with them and thats what we are hoping for.”
I think the group is “anonymous” because they possibly aren’t even students - or it’s a group of one or two. I suppose anyone could establish a website and say they are students from any university they want - especially if one does not identify who one is.
Do ask. Do tell. Do expel.
Like all the rest of us sinners, those who engage in homosexual sin are welcome to REPENT.
This is funny. King Barry is sued by a growing number of groups because he's ignoring the First Amendment but that's not worthy of coverage. Perverts put out a PR fluff sheet, though, and it gets coverage.
It's obvious people who let their sex organs rule their lives are no longer capable of even understanding the definition of the word, "Christian". That goes for the adulterous and promiscuous scum who are heterosexual just as much as it does for the first class perverts at Biola who want to pretend they're Christian while at the same time defying what Scripture clearly teaches.
“Despite what some may assume, there are Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, and Queers at Biola. We are Biola’s students, alumni, employees, and fellow followers of Christ.”
In so many passages and in so many ways, Jesus told people that they must obey Him in order to follow Him. Those who refuse to CANNOT enter into the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 7:21, 23).
While I find sodomy and libertine sexual immorality to be revolting, Jesus would have the same words to say to people who think nothing of living together without being married.
Nobody who insists on practicing sexual immorality will be offered the free gift of eternal life. Jesus’s priceless gift cannot be earned by works but it is conditional.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21
>> Did they give their names?
Maybe it isn’t “they”. Maybe there’s just one. If they don’t identify, how can you be sure?
Heck, maybe whoever made the website isn’t even *associated* with Biola.
“Q” is for “questioning”. It’s for people who haven’t made up their mind.
There is no way Biola College will accept this. They are up Biola Creek without a paddle.
They speciifcally list gays and queers. What’s up with that?
In case people don’t know, “Biola” originally stood for “Bible Institute of Los Angeles.”
