FYI, for your ping lists.

The writer should have included a link so that readers could help out the monastery by buying their produce or other goods or by sending a donation.
This link apparently allows people to buy from various monasteries. I plan on going here to shop for 2 of my beer-loving sons when their birthdays come up in September.

There are several things that are happening way out here west that might be duplicated in that diocese.
1. QuoVadis Days — camp for young men disicerning the priesthood or in this case, becoming a monk.
2. The Bishop holds a St. Andrew’s Dinner at different locations in the archdiocese for those discerning a vocation to the priesthood with speakers about vocations.
3. Nun Run and visiting churches and attending a conference for girls discerning a vocation to a consecrated life. Many parishes take girls down to San Francisco area for this.
4. Vocations Rally for sixth graders attending Catholic Schools — three venues, displays and talking with someone like these monks, a panel to talk about their vocations and then anwer questions, and of course, a lunch break. The Portland Serra Club had over 6— sixith graders so this got split two years ago, and we here in the Willamette valley garner nearly 250. Portland still had over 300 attend their Vocations Rally this year.
Maybe there are other ideas that people from other diocese could put forth here. Then someone needs to send this FR link to them.
