In faith we come to You, the Source of everything we need. You are our Helper, our Strength, our Shield, our Strong Tower, our Sure Defense. Father, our country needs Your wisdom and guidance to lead us back to the path You want us to follow. We have fallen far from Your ways and have ignored Your truths. Help us to repent as a nation and to return to You in spirit and in truth. We want what You want for us---a nation that prays, a nation that trusts in You, a nation that repents from its evil ways, and a nation that worships the One True God.
Father, You are the Refuge and Fortress for our troops. You cover them with Your feathers and under Your wings they shall take refuge. May no evil befall them nor any plague come nigh their dwellings. We ask You to give Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways. Be with their families and all those who wait for their safe return. Send people to bless them and provide for them as they make sacrifices for the good of this nation.
Father, being fourth place, third place, or even second place in our lives is not good enough for You---the One Who sent Your only begotten Son to die for us. Help us to put You first in all things. A stronger nation is built one heart at a time as we make You Lord of every part of our lives. Help us so to do, Lord. We praise You for Your faithfulness and Your unending love. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
