Wow! Didn’t we just have a rare double moon appearance for the month of Sept.? One was called Blue moon I think. Excuse my ignorance, but what month and day does Rosh HaShanah occur? Rosh Hashanah begins in the evening of Sunday, September 16, 2012, and ends in the evening of Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

Thank you for posting this great article! There is another Old Testament reference to the Rapture and The Great Tribulation, found in Isaiah 26:20-21.
We cannot go to the Book of Revelation and say that the voice of the seventh angel (Revelation 11:15) is the last trump.

The seals are Jewish imagery, why wouldn’t the trumpets be likewise? Obviously Jewish Christians of the first century reading the Revelation, would recognize them as being drawn from their feast of trumpets.
A pre-tribber, of course, cannot allow this, for it’s last trump is clearly post-tribulational. Even your article admits the seventh, or last, is the post-tribulational return of Christ.
As to as the inferences in your article endeavoring to prove a pre-trib rapture, that is all they are - inferences. The actual NT data says otherwise. For instance, the actual NT data makes the sounding of your “last trumpet” and “great trumpet” one and the same event.
And it was Jews who wrote most of the NT, so they ought to know. If they thought the last and great trumpets were different prophetic events, as your article infers, they certainly didn’t indicate it.
I, like you, am convinced that the Rapture will be associated with Rosh Hashanah.
I, like you, am convinced that believers will not be subject to Yahuah’s (YHWH) wrath.
I, like you, have been watchful for a “seven” covenant (Daniel 9:27) to be confirmed with Israel.
It is not conclusive to me, however, that the “seven” constitutes “The Great Tribulation.” The text of Daniel 9:27, taken on its own, merely establishes a window within which the daily [sacrifice] is abolished. It does not add anything about tribulation.
Israel is currently in the midst of a seven year agreement called the ENPI. Its last official day is December 31, 2013. If this ENPI is the “seven” of Daniel 9:27, then I expect that we should see the daily [sacrifice] abolished before December 31, 2013. We still have about fifteen (15) months to go.
If you are interested in more detail (I have been studying this since I became a believer in 1993), please let me know. Otherwise, I will not further trouble you.

In my pride of what I believe to be a correct understanding of the times (we all think that we are right), I have many times been guilty of pushing too hard. It has never been successful. It has, however, put men at odds with me - the very opposite of what I had hoped to achieve.
From your post, you appear to be very well read. You seem to understand Jewish imagery and prophetic scripture.

Since this thread is about the feasts of Israel, in particular the one at hand, trumpets, I thought I was pretty much on subject wouldn’t you say?
