My family member has lived with crippling back pain for years. They have done surgeries, but some have been botched.
She has been living on pain killers.
Tomorrow they are going to try to put a direct line into her spinal cord, or something... so that the meds can go right in.
Surgery has failed once due to scar tissue.
Her son will be coming back from Afghanistan after 5 tours (3 with Army) 2 with contractor... at the end of the week.
Please PLEASE pray for her... that the doctor is skilled and that the surgery is successful and MAYBE can give her a new lease on life.
Thank you all very much.

I forgot to say that her son’s first two tours were to Iraq. (He ran in the beginning of the war between Tikrit and Kirkuk and survived an IED). The last three have been to Afghanistan. With is contractor job he got a letter from the military command because he was responsible for finding rebels LAYING an IED and he notified a convoy about it. Then he tracked the rebels back to their lair and the military was able to raid and find a cache of weapons.

I’m with her and praying for her. If she can get relief, she can have a new life.
(I had spinal surgery seven months ago. There was a risk of paralysis that caused me to put it off for several years. When I reached the point where I’d rather be paralyzed than live as I was, I was ready for the surgery. There are worse things than paralysis)
