Yesterday, when I first heard of the horror shooting incident that took place at the Newtown, CT, elementary school, the Sandy Hook School, I was SHOCKED, SICKEN, and WITH GREAT SORROW by the unfolding of this recent heartbreaking and tragic current event. Hearing about the innocent children who were slaughtered, plus the adults as well, I ended up screaming in HORROR that innocent children, including those who are just beginning their formal learning had no chance to live a life in full.
What even SHOCKED me even more was that, the young man who did the killing, a 20-year-old man by the name of Adam Lanza,was described as suffering from a a “personality disorder“ was the person who brought to the guns to the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, United States of America, after having killed his own mother, Nancy Lanza before driving to the school to do his VERY EVIL DEED. He went on to kill not only the school principal, Dawn Hochsprung, and up to four more adults, but went on to kill up to twenty children, before he turned the gun on himself to kill himself as well.
My HEART BREAKS for those who were killed by Mr. Lanza as well as for all their family, relatives, friends, and a whole community that MUST deal with this horrible incident. My prayers and condolences go to the families of the victims who must, before this all happened, was getting ready to celebrate the Christmas holidays and the Christmas and New Year‘s vacations to instead having to plan to have funerals instead. For the parents of those who children who had died, having known people who have lost children themselves, up close and personal, no parent should have to bury their son or daughter. Adding this, no spouse, finance, or significant other should have to end up burying their beloved partner, this coming from one who had to do so this very year herself.
While there are never any easy answers, one answer right now that I want to have anything to do with, let alone trying to debate me is the issue of “gun control.” To those who are in public office or who have an agenda in order to be divisive in an already very divided American society, I have NO PATIENCE or ENERGY to debate anyone who is trying to use this horrible tragic situation to promote gun control. The SAD REALITY is that no amount of gun control laws would have prevented an Adam Lanza from carrying out his evil deed. As further proof, in China, there was a massive stabbing of children, using a knife. Do we need to have “knife control” also?
On the issue of Mr. Lanza having a “personality disorder”, please, I myself, as well as having known and befriended a number of people who have had to deal with challenges, both physical and mental, and having a challenge is NO EXCUSE for what Mr. Lanza did on Friday at that the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, United States of America. Those who have challenges STRUGGLE enough just to be able to be at peace with themselves and the cross of having to deal with the challenges, let alone even think of carrying out what had happened yesterday on that mid December Friday morning.
What had taken place yesterday is a reminder that all of us are in the middle of a SPIRITUAL WAR, that involves Hell against Heaven, what is evil against what is holy, and of Satan with his legions of demons, against God and His angels. There can be NO DOUBT that what happened yesterday is a very big reminder of what is truly is going on. All of us is living in this very dark, dangerous, and difficult times.
The one REAL CONFORT I can take in reflecting on this is that, those who died children and adults who died because of what Mr. Lanza did by this very evil action are now HOME in the Kingdom of Heaven, as martyrs who are now saints, in the loving arms of the Good Shepherd, the King of Kings, and the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. When I light tonight the 3 Advent candles, I will be thinking about this very special comfort in both my mind and heart.

This *finite* life is but a penny when compared to the infinite wealth of joy in Heaven *eternal*.
Eternity is a special concept - it is infinite. God’s love knows no bounds. When people ask, “How can God let this happen,” remember where God lives - in the eternal. The finite suffering of this world pales to zero when we finally face the infinite joy in heaven.
While it may be hard to let go of the penny in hand, understanding what awaits the faithful is the truest comfort.

Early reports (now inaccurate?) stated that the gunman used a .223 AR type gun. How would he get that into the school?
Second point, if they try to curtail or circument the 2nd amendment they are going to have a big fight on their hands and it won’t be discussion left up to the political cowards driven by the leftist, corrupt, lying MSM. We will be involved on a very real level.
I hate to say this but in my lifetime our country started it’s downhill slide when Madeline Murray was successful in removing God from our public schools.
My granddaughter was raped and murdered 18 years ago and I know about pain.

It’s illegal to teach public school kids things like “Thou shalt not kill,” so what do you expect to happen?
That is right, this is simply is beyond law and order and it is into what is spritual, between light and dark, between God and Satan. I wish more people would get it.
First, there are already more than 20,000 gun control laws actively on the books today and none of them prevented this tragedy. Second, millions upon million of people in America own guns and 99.9999% of them have never and will never do anything like this.
So, let’s lose the hysteria and analyze the facts - a PERSON did this, NOT a hunk of steel. In Portland, a PERSON killed two people in the mall, NOT a hunk of steel! In Denver, a PERSON shot up the theater, NOT a hunk of steel!!
NONE of these facts will matter to the gun-grabbing nanny-staters, because they focus solely on the gun and nothing else. So, what happens if ALL guns are outlawed and forcibly collected by the feds? Someone bent on committing mass murder may turn to knives, hatchets, chainsaws or machetes. So, we outlaw those. The next person to commit a heinous crime may use a bat, poison, poison gas or a semi-tractor. And the one after that may use a car, a pen or pencil, a rock, his hands . . . . . . so when do we blame the PERSON and NOT the inanimate weapon!???
The fact remains that until the left understands that murdering humans by ANY means including their favorite method, abortion, human life will be valueless and more copycats will come out to exercise their demented mass murder of innocent people.
All of that said, it occurs to me that the gun-grabbers are from the leftist school of complete control. What that means is that if 1 person commits a gun crime then, under the leftist theory of the “collective” and “groupthink”, they believe that ALL gun owners will commit mass murder unless they eliminate guns (good luck with that!). So, the calls for more gun control by the left after these incidents is twofold - eliminate the “balance of power” the Founding Fathers so carefully wove into the Constitution and gain total control over the people.
Another part that affects all of this is the fact that laws, whether gun laws, robbery laws, or whatever, are written solely to affect law-abiding citizens. People who commit crimes are called “outlaws” and criminals because they DON’T adhere to the laws created to control or stop their illegal activities.
So, should the left create additional gun control laws, will it prevent the next gun-related crime? Of course not. Laws only affect those of us who obey them. Those who disregard the law won’t be stopped from committing whatever crime they want to commit.
As a final note, Adam Lanza did not own the guns he used to murder all of the people at Sandy Hook Elementary. They were his mother’s guns and they were all legally purchased and registered. Which begs the question, what will any NEW gun control laws accomplish?

We really cannot make judgments here, but prayers are always in order.
We really need to pray for everyone involed. Asking why doesn't give us answers, but asking God what we can do next will provide answers.
That’s the first thing I said yesterday when I heard about this.
Put God back in the schools.
Values of evil. As liberals would say, “Don’t judge.” What they mean is not judge good and evil. They are real cultural cleansers of the West. This is one of the fruits of their endless effort to turn everything up-side-down and bless it politically correct. We are progressing to the value system of the Soviet Union. They had a communist police state.
As GE’s CEO says, the Chi-coms have a more effecient system than America. We are coming. You can not be both evil and free. Evil, stupid people need to be controlled, “efficiently.”
But also it does not hurt to realize that as we get closer to Christmas, remember that when Jesus had after coming into the world, his parents had to take him and flee into Egypt in order to save his life. Sadly it came with a price, the slaugther of the holy innocents.
I was thinking about it in the last few days after what had happened, being reminded that even Our Savior came into what was a “warzone” but knowing he would go on to WIN a GREAT VICTORY for us.
