Oh Lord, not a thing could be added to this combination from YOUR WORD…YOUR PROMISE & PRESENCE…in all things, in all places, in every thing, in every way. In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Amen and Amen! Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Hold a special place in Heaven for those who have shown the greatest Love by putting their lives at risk to the point of forfeit for their fellows. Your Kingdom will come because You have spoken it. Give our heroes their daily bread and forgive them their trespasses as they have forgiven us our trespasses with their faithful service to You and to us. Lead them not into the den of temptation, but deliver them from the Evil One. Thine IS the kingdom, the power and the glory! Forever and ever because the great “I Am” has spoken! Pour out your blessings and hear our prayers. Show them examples of Your love and mercy that their faith not be shaken. I pray this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
