Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the war-horses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth. As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. Our Father in heaven, we come to You through the way that Jesus opened, and in His Name we pray.

Father, as our military faces deep cuts, we ask for Your help. Guide the leaders of our military as they face this problem, and give the leaders of our government wisdom and unity to provide for the military what they need.

Lord, You know what lies we, as a nation, have been told, and what lies we have believed; we pray that You will set us free with the truth. Light is painful after the darkness, but we ask You to shine it.

O God our King, Your rule extends from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. You came to Jerusalem gentle and riding on a donkey, righteous and having salvation, and You proclaimed peace to the nations. When You come again, You will take away the war-horses and the chariots, and the battle bow will be broken. In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Dear LORD, how much we need to lean on verses such as these in FULL FAITH for our Military and Country. OH LORD, maybe way to much emphasis has been laid upon depending on fallible people and laws. We see change happening, and it causes us to fear. OH LORD, put YOUR NAME in the mouth of our Military personnel, our Military warriors, our chaplains, our decision makers. May the struggles we are facing as a nation make us come before YOU, King of GLORY, for the help we need in humility and confession. OH LORD, we ask once again, “GOD BLESS AMERICA”...Amen.
