He, and his cohorts, need to be in prison not vacationing in the lap of luxury....

“Cloistered” accommodations? OMG!
He’ll never see the light of day again.

I have been waiting for a Pope that would take this child molesting scandal head on ...sounds like the Pope Francis might just be the man.

A commendable move. Hats off to the padre on this one.

Let us hope Cardinal Mahony of LA is in line for similar treatment...

I was thinking the same thing. The Archbishop in Los Angeles should change the locks at Mahony’s residence and throw his clothes out on the front lawn.
To: Joe 6-pack
At least it would only be a human Law that would be broken. Better that than God's Law.

I am okay with him meeting the disgraced Cardinal. He is a sinner and a member of the faith. HOWEVER, the Pope better kick him out of that residence . Everyone has made a big deal of the fact that the Pope picked that Church because of the Reformer Pope buried at Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore
To: RummyChick
It’s possible that both versions are true. The Pope met with Law — and cordially told him that he would soon be taking up residence in a monastery. “Bare feet on a cold stone floor.”

Too bad that the Vatican doesn’t excommunicate suborners of child sodomy like they did back in the Middle Ages.

One of the new Popes first acts will be to arrange new cloistered accommodation for the disgraced cardinal Why isn't he just fired and told to move on, kicked out of the church's big boys, and sent back to regular American living as an ordinary person?
