The History Channel's unlikely hit ratings winner 'The Bible' aired its gut wrenching Easter finale on Sunday evening - packing an emotional punch so hard that it reduced many of its dedicated viewers to tears.
The harrowing episode entitled the 'Passion' dramatized the inevitable crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Calvary, leaving many shocked as the full horror of a Roman execution was laid bare for the program's ten million plus followers.
Indeed, Twitter lit up during the visceral scenes of torture, with many declaring the heart-breaking depiction of Jesus Christ's sacrifice had caused them to break out in floods of tears - with some people taking to the social networking site to share pictures of their distress.

“... unlikely hit ratings winner...”
Only among libtards is such a thing held to be “unlikely”.
Always good for folks to be reminded of the price of our sins.
Aw c’mon, how about a Spoiler Alert!
‘Twas the “Passion of Christ” that really drained me even more,
This was as good as Mel Gibson’s version. Enjoyed it and will buy a couple copies tomorrow. I also liked the History Channels Shroud of Tourin. Both of these emphasized the absolute suffering of Christ. Always a mixture of sadness, joy and the feeling I did not deserve such sacrifice.
Off note, I was happy to see Walmart and Expedia sponsoring this. I will thank them both with my wallet as well.
I just kept thinking, has Sam Walton returned? Not as in resurrected, but as in someone in the company embracing his values.
noticed Walmart also as a sponsor.
I understand the Book version was better.
UK has to report. Where is the lame stream?
Indeed it was.
Which begs the question:
Am I wrong or was it an error when they included Caiaphas sentencing Jesus to death? How could he have? The Jews had no law to put a man to death. And even the word "blasphemy" was out of place.
If the Jews could sentence him to death, why would they have needed the Romans to do it? That was the whole reason they turned to the Romans.
I watched part of it. Sure with the actor who played Jesus looked a bit more Middle Eastern carpenter and a bit less California surfer dude.

This week. They will probably be a sponsor for some of these activities too:

Warning: there are photos of members that look extremely gay and have the very essence of pedophiliacs in their countenance. You can tell just by looking at them not to let them anywhere near your male children.
with = wish ...
I guess they didn’t see Mel Gibson’s movie, “The Passion of the Christ!”
The tears started flowing about five minures into it and I lelft the theater in tears.
I doubt it.
As posted on another “Bible Series” thread:
The following is not intended to spark some lengthy religious debate just one mans opinion which we all know is almost impossible to change.
I watched the entire Bible series on the History Channel. I came away last night with anger and hatred at not only the entire human race but with any God who would allow such pain and suffering. Lord Actons Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely kept running through my thoughts.
Given the lies and distortions we see today from those in power and those who seek power, one can only imagine the difficulty of people back then trying to decypher truth from the fiction imposed by powerful and to attempt to explain the inexplicable.
Even today, for some reason, many seem to cling to the concept that powerful governments are good when all of recorded history should tell us otherwise. They are unparalleled killing machines yet we constantly allow them to become more powerful.
Anyway, I was disappointed in myself as I wanted to come away from this series with more kindness in my heart and the exact opposite took place.
Just one mans opinion and no more valid/invalid than anyone else.
In days of yore the stained glass images in churches told the biblical stories to the illiterate. Movies and videos I suppose can perform a similar function.
The last installment showed to me what Jesus did for sinful humanity. It touched me to tears, considering I had a very hard year and the Lord was with me in my sufferings.
“The Passsion of Christ” was on too. It’s brutal. Hard to watch.
The evil in the world is not caused by God. God hates the sin which causes suffering, but yet allows men the freedom to nevertheless chose how to live.
God preferred blissful eternal life for us. But when we persisted in hurting one another, God introduced earthly death, so that our time in this hellhole would be limited.
Then he gavie his one and only Son to rescue us from this mess we created. Yes, in this would we will have trouble, but Christ has overcome this world. For those who are willing to accept his sacrifice on our behalf, a blissful eternity has once again become possible.
