Lead Pastor David Loveless, who has been married for 33-years and was recognized as "one of the top 20 Christian leaders in the US to watch," has resigned from the Discovery Church in Orlando after admitting to having an affair, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Loveless is the third pastor of a major Orlando-area church to resign within the past six-months because of an affair.

We are to go out into all the world and preach the gospel. A church that's too big tends to be ingrown.
Sins against marriage and chastity are hardly "garden variety". Fornication is fornication is fornication. You don't get a pass if it is between consenting heterosexuals.
Marriage was the first sacrament and vocation. The union of a man and a wife is a holy entity that, once formed, cannot be undone.

What are you getting nasty about? Crystal Cathedral is a catholic church, why does that set you off on a persistent and bizarre personal attack?

Nobody could survive an intense investigation of his life. However, you can’t have an affair and lead a church.
Once your word to your wife is no good, your word to everyone else is suspect at best.
I remember having this conversation with my wife about Bill Clinton at the time, and she maintained that it didn’t matter.

That was the end of the argument. You could make a pretty funny series of cartoons entitled, “What liberals see when the squint at the logic of . . .”
And then you can just list the topics - abortion, green energy, unions, adultery, etc.

If an “urban” church is successful, fornication by the clergy is expected and the music minister is probably on the down low. My dad told me that 40 years ago. I was surprised that people were shocked that Rev’s Henry Lyons and Jesse Jackson were having affairs.
I understand alot of people think that, but I would disagree. I sat in his services at Saddleback for years and actually listened to him, so I think I have a slightly different perspective than most.
