Having bad flashbacks to the “liturgical dances” that were sprung on us during Mass in the 1980’s.

Protestants do such antics better.

Perhaps. But, no one can touch Catholic priests when it comes to boy-buggery.

Unsurprising that evangelical Protestantism is advancing in South America. Protestants do such antics better. These gyrating bishops are not leaders but gormless followers aping youthful behaviour and being simply silly.

I'm sure they were all properly catechised.

“Unsurprising that evangelical Protestantism is advancing in South America. Protestants do such antics better”

Psalm 149:3 ESV

Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!

Ecclesiastes 3:4 ESV

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Jeremiah 31:13 ESV
Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.

Psalm 150:4 ESV

Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!

Psalm 30:11 ESV

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

2 Samuel 6:14 ESV

And David danced before the Lord with all his might. And David was wearing a linen ephod.

Psalm 150:1-6 ESV

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! ...

Jeremiah 31:4 ESV

Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin Israel! Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.

Job 21:11 ESV

They send out their little boys like a flock, and their children dance.

Judges 11:34 ESV

Then Jephthah came to his home at Mizpah. And behold, his daughter came out to meet him with tambourines and with dances. She was his only child; besides her he had neither son nor daughter.

Exodus 15:20-21 ESV

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing. And Miriam sang to them: “Sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.”

Psalm 100:1-5 ESV

A Psalm for giving thanks. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.

Exodus 15:20 ESV

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women went out after her with tambourines and dancing.

1 Chronicles 15:29 ESV

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and rejoicing, and she despised him in her heart.

Ah, all that Biblical dancing troubles some who know no joy!

You and me both.

The Church and the Papacy have come to this?

Why yes, yes it has. Because it's so much more important to be hip these days.

Why must you do this?

What good does this act do for Jesus?

Is anything here sinful, gravely?

Examine your conscience.

Why are you outside God’s Church? How are you any more obedient to God and His Church than ANY protestant group of even anti-biblical standing?

Do these men not love Jesus more than....well, not as much as you obviously.

At least the Bible blesses dancing when it is done for the glory of God.

Blessed, you think? Always? Like Moses finding the Jews dancing in front of a golden calf.

By the way, the yutes in Rio and the mindless bishops they were leading, were practicing for a flash mob performance for Pope Francis, not God.

Where in the New Testament did the first apostles, led by a bunch of yutes, dance like fools for St. Peter, the first Pope?

P.S. Approved polygamy is also found in the Bible.

I repeat, to the best of my knowledge I have never been in the same room with a Catholic bishop. However, would have been honored to have broken bread with Archbishop Lefebvre and a number of others, living or deceased.
